Paddles, voice commands, cruise control and most of the buttons on the steering wheel (phone contrtols I do use...the rest are a waste).

I wish they would have deleted those things and put the money into cooled front seats and an electronically adjustable steering column. I also miss not having a compass directional indicator in the center rear view mirror.

How come they removed voice for street names? I used this feature a lot with my 3G. Instead of typing out a long name I would just say the street and it was 90% accurate. I do use voice command quite a bit when searching for ABMs, Restaurants, etc. Easier than typing it out.

One thing I never use is the XM Radio. But everything else I actually use quite a bit.

Before they had a switch to voice mode option when entering a street name. Now I don't see that anywhere. Are you supposed to just start saying the street name?

I guess go to the "address" section then press voice on the steering wheel then say it? I need to try that as well.

I use memory seats because public transit in LA area sucks so you need to drive everywhere. Memory seats help because I can drink, then the GF can just press "2" then drive me home without making all these adjustements to the seats.

Though if you always drive alone or are the only person to drive your car I can see them not being as useful.

My past car (Lexus IS 250) did not have memory seats, and I would find myself adjusting the seat constantly after giving the car to valets, at car washes where someone else would drive the car to the wash and when picking up the car after service at the dealership. Memory seats will be a godsend with my Acura TL.

I guess she does not have the 2nd fob. That's the great thing, the memory also rembers radio stations, mirrors. It is very neat.

Nah I keep the 2nd key fob @ home just in case. I'd rather not lose both at the same time if anything happens.

Same here.

Would be better if you could copy DVD-A's to the HDD (I might buy some,) but there goes that copyright thing. Kind of defeats the purpose given the MP3 Player/iPod/iPhone/USB Drive options that are out there.

Voice Control, DVD-A, CD, HDD, Aux Input.

I'd use Voice Control more often if it had Song by Voice like the ZDX. Navigating through my iPod is a royal pain manually. More often then not I end up just using Bluetooth A2DP for that reason.

These cars are just getting to high tech for me. Whenever I have to figure something out nowadays, I have my kids do it for me!!

I would have to say the least used thing is the paddle shifters and the sport option. It's my wifes car so that explains it. She uses everything else.

I've NEVER used DVD audio, or tape deck. Rarely use the paddle shifters and voice commands or memory seats.

It's a one driver car really so the memory seats don't get used much. I'd trade them for a power/telescoping/heated steering wheel and air-conditioned seats in a heartbeat.

Suprisingly useful feature (although maybe overlooked) are the little pockets on either side of the console. Holstered LCR fits very nice on the drivers side, and the Glock 30 fits nicely on the other - still easily reached from the drivers side.

The ZDX has both of these (not the heated steering wheel), I'm hoping that my next car will have them as well. Another thing is, memory seat are usually a "pre-requisite" to powered steering wheels/etc.

As for the pockets on the side of the console, I put my wallet there (too thick to sit on). Nothing in the other.

What is a LCR? Why do you carry a glock with you?

Damn... Burlington, KY must be rough if you need to drive with two guns in your car...

Burlington Kentucky's fine - the people with guns are ALLOWED to have them. It's Cincinnati that's the problem...(20 miles north)

Are there a lot of armed robberies or something?

I'd live a lot happier knowing not every car I drive past is carrying a gun of some sort.

Anyone who's not using the Bluetooth streaming audio and who has an MP3 player or smartphone that allows Bluetooth audio is really missing out! It's fantastic! (I have a BlackBerry Storm2, and it's flawless. You can even use the steering wheel mounted controls or the dash controls to << and >>!)

I guess the only feature I don't really use is the scenic route thing, I suppose!

Otherwise I use as may of the techie gadgets as I can!

The only problem with Bluetooth audio is that the TL only supports one bluetooth device connected. So if you're using it for sound you can't use hands free for your phone.

I tried voice with entering the address and it only accepts voice for each letter which is horrible!!

See, I like the homelink garage door opener a lot. No clunky cheap plastic opener wearing holes in the visor with batteries to replace. You DO garage your TL don't you? Gotta protect the resale values for the rest of us...

I didn't pay for the weather / traffic thing, and didn't use it but to show off in the first 3 months - but I wish it had a video in for the screen like the Nissan/Infiniti does so I could pull the local traffic cams in over the iPhone to it.

If nothing else. think of the paddle shifters as a way to add 20k to your brake life. Tap down a gear while lifting to decelerate the tubby beast without grinding anything. Too many years of road-racing and auto-cross...with fwd based Hondas it is always about saving the brakes...lol.

Have not used paddle shifters and if I do it would not be often. Plan on burning some music to the HD to take advantage of the sound system. Otherwise I use all and cruise the most.

That's a good idea. You're right about the clunky opener. I'll just have to sit down and try to program it. Yes I do garage my TL. Interesting about the paddle shifters saving brakes. I'm in stop and go traffic daily on my commute. I'll have to look into this paddle shifting. I've never tried them.

You may save brakes while downshifting, but you'll be putting additional wear on the transmission. Brakes are cheaper to replace than a transmission.

I also use the homelink to replace my garage door opener, works great.

Yeah - you're loading up the trans vs the brakes. Two sided coin. Brakes = out of pocket. Trans = warranty.

I'm not saying tap down three gears to stop - but 5th to 4th I use frequently, or 5th to 3rd if I'm wanting to hit a corner on full throttle on the exit.

I use the paddle shifters mostly to pass vehicles on the highway. You don't have to shift to "S" to use them. You can use them in "D". So if I'm cruising on the highway then need some extra power, I'll hit down one or two depending. Then it will automatically go back to normal drive when it's ready.

it's an interesting topic. Voice control is actually fun to use, especially when you are not familiar where to reach all the buttons for certain functions, just say it, the computer will respond to most of them. It's amazing.
The least features I use:
1. paddle shifter, I really want to try it, but you know, in cities, there is no such place that I can drive at will.....
2. cd ripping and HDD play, I have most of my music on my ipod
3. I guess I don't need the xm subscription at all since the music bit is too low for the great sound system TL carries
4. Heated seat, I actually don't feel like want to sit my butt on fire.....

If you're using a device that has telephone and a BT audio player with the right protocols, you can use both in a single device.
