What to expect

So I traded in my 07 TL for an 11 ES 350 and it's been a disappointment. I was expecting a pillowly, quiet ride and it really hasn't been that. I truly believe that Lexus is overrated when it comes to the quietness and smoothness of their cars.

Instead of going back to a 3G TL, what would the 4G TL be like compared to the ES? I'd be interested in the SH-AWD model, preferably a 12-14. I don't like push button start so it'd have to be a base, which is too bad because I'd want that upgraded sound system.

If you are still looking for that pillowy quiet ride the shawd is not it. It's a stiff ride to get the excellent handling. Also as someone who had a car for 9 years with keys I can say I love the keyless entry and push start it's so much more convenient.

Try to get the Tech/Advance version of the TL, it will have a rear camera which will make parking a LOT easier!!!!!

I agree with @dopeboy1 Once you start using Keyless Entry, you will be asking yourself, why not sooner! You may want to get a new key shell because it is going to get beat up by the previous owner. I tried repainting before but it's a lot easier to just buy the 'shell'.

Good luck!

The ES is a glorified Camry.

The LS is the king for comfort.

The ES should be very comfortable and quiet.

If yours isn't...then...is fixing it easier than buying a new car? You sure its not just like...loose change rattling around? Stuff that rattles will give you the wrong impression of harshness. The human brain is stupid. Signals get mixed. Noise from rattling gets interpreted as harshness.

The SH model is the wrong choice if you think your ES is harsh.
