What cleaning products are you guys using on your TLs??

I'm sure this is in here somewhere, but I want to dig up the people still on these forums. I'm hyped about my ride and it's been snowing out here....one week and she's already dirty! I wanted to know what you guys are using to take care of your TLs

Also, it's been 8-20 degrees out here in Maryland. What do you think of spraying off all this salt on my car? It's seriously killing me!!

I'm in NoVa so I feel your pain with the salt, especially on CBP. I usually take at least 10 minutes every night to hose it off in between washes. It's been so cold as of late that it's become difficult for the latter, however. The idea of salt on the paint for any amount of time bugs the shit out of me...

Saw a post from potmilkz where autogeek.com and detailedimage.com were mentioned. Some really amazing info there related to DIY detailing. Good videos on autogeek and some products considerably cheaper on detailedimage.

Since there are many great products out there, all I will say is that once you identify which products work for you, buy in bulk. Just cheaper in the long run. I have gallon sized car care products like spray wax and detailer which I use tons of in the garage.

I use Klasse and Wolfgang Concours Series. I love the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 on my 2012 TL. I also heard that the Chemical Guys WAC_118_16 - JetSeal Sealant and Paint Protectant is also great. I will try the jetseal next year.

Personally... I think the Wolfgang DGPS is so much better than the Jetseal

That is good to know that Wolfgang DGPS is better than jetseal. I am always looking for that extra edge if it comes to detailing the paint. I was thinking of toping the Wolfgang DGPS with Wolfgang Füzion Estate Wax and call it a day.

Meguiars fanboy here! It's affordable and leaves my CBP looking brand new.

I just tried the quik wax recently and was very impressed. I never used anything like that between waxing but it will be a regular part of my rotation going forward.

That should be a killer combo

If you are using the Ultimate Quik Wax, get the D156 Synthetic X-press Spray Wax. It is basically the same thing in a gallon size with a different scent.

I've viewed various youtube videos from the "Chemical Guys" (especially the one on one step polishing. I find them to be very informative.

I can relate. I lived in MD a decade ago for several years and owned a black AV6. I'm much more knowledgeable now than I was then.

I haven't taken a hose and wash to my car for over a year now. I have only been using the Meguiar's Rinse Free Express Wash and Wax. I use the yellow microfiber towels from Costco with it, and i re-use them and wash them separately in it's own laundry cycle. I typically use the express wash and wax product every week with great results. I'm particular about the results and this is the best product i have used on a weekly basis that doesn't leave streaks. I do a 10:1 mix, filtered water with it.

I recently bought some Klasse AIO Polish and Klass High Gloss Sealant to use every 6 months or so.
