VLeds on 2012
Does anyone know if the Acura 2012 requires a relay harness. Vleds doesnt seem to have the 2009-2012 4G TL posted on their site. Will it work without the relay harness?

As far as I know u need some type of resistor to fix the error message. I don't think u need a relay harness(but it might be better to use it to run 12v vs 6v drl is running but I'm not too sure on that)

I got the resistors just didnt get the relays as I was told you didnt need them Hope that is true!

You know you could've went to V-leds.com. This is straight from v-leds website. I'm sure you need a relay harness if its included in the package
V-LEDS Part ID: TL_DRL_W_5K
# In Package:
1 Relay Harness
2 Plug n Play Resistors
2 9005 High Power Bulbs
P.S wasn't tryna jack your thread

Talked to the guy over at Vled and he told me to try the bulbs without anything at all but the lights, and then add the resistors and so on, he said that it might not really need the relay. They didnt have a 2012 to test it on so the reason I reached out to the community. Trying to see if anyone else is running V-leds without the relay? Guess I will see and report back.

Mounted them without anything and the DRL warning came on, mounted them with the resistors and no warning but the lights seem a bit dim...kind of like them dim. My only issue now is where to mount the driver side resistor? Where is everyone finding a location to mount that resistor? And man do they get hot!

They do get brighter but I am wondering if they have the direct 12v source if they would get even brighter...kind of like them no so bright though. But still need to find a place to mount the resistors. I am going to have to remove the battery to find a location on the drivers side, the passender side was easy just not as easy on the drivers side. Also those resistors get really hot!

We just tested out my car a while ago using Cree LEDs and regular SMD LEDs. We also re worked the resistor so it will not make it hot. But the Cree and SMD uses full 12V. The problem with the design of our headlamp on the 09-12 is that there is a shield in front of the high beam and since the Cree LED is direction, its is not as bright. SMD is bright because it is full 180 degree. My friend is getting a shipment of new resistor this week and will be testing on my 12 end of this week and give you some pic on output.

Nice! The V-Leds have LEDS that are 360 degree's and some in front as well. At this point I am not sure if its due to me not having the direct 12 volts or thats just how bright they get, all in all they look good, need to mount that smoking resistor on the car somewhere. I am afraid that with the heat in Dallas and the engine compartment, these LEDS will not last long Not sure? I can mount some additional heat sinks to them but not sure it will make a difference sitting in the engine compartment.

Give me a couple of days as we are testing out the LED and the resistor. We will do a burn in test on my car for QCing the product. Once it is good to go, I will post picture of the 360 degree SMD LED and the CREE LED set up. Stay tune.

Cool, want to see that setup for sure! I ended up having to remove the battery and find a location for the resistors, they have a nice heat sink on them but I dont believe the are big enough to handle the heat. .
Anyone using the V-Leds DRL's with no issues? They ran for 20 minutes or so and man they are getting pretty hot!

Switchback LED bulbs means there are 2 color LED. Either blue/amber or white/amber. When constant, the white LED will light up but when you signal, the white LED will shut off then the amber will blink.
Here is an example:

If you order there is a discount code that they emailed me

will these switchbacks fit perfectly in the parking light/turn signal under the headlights?
and also will they match in color to the 4300 stock bulbs?

Same questions as above on the switchbacks...I was under the impression that in order to do switchbacks on our cars we needed to tap in resistors. According to the site they say its simple plug in and it works. Any details potmilkz?

yeah im interested in the switchbacks and im tempted to buy...i want the brightest and best ones....just not sure if i need to buy anything on top of them to help with error codes and hyperflashing....

It will fit but it WILL not match exactly to the stock 4300K because our HID bulb have a hue of yellow. Normally LEDs bulbs have a cool white color. More like super white. It's between 5000K to 6000K color. These are typically how the material are produce on LEDs.
I've been playing around with LEDs and really hard to match what you exactly want. I too wanted Yellow LED but the closest to true Yellow LED are those typical Amber color.
