Does anyone know if there is a way to open and close the windows other than driver window when the power window lock is on. I know my old 2003 cl didn't allow me to do that.

 

That sort of the defeats the purpose of the window lock now doesn't it...? Unlock the damn windows!

It's like saying, how do you unlock the doors and the door's are locked?

When you have kids in the car and want to open the windows and then close them, but the kids keep on pressing their window control button at the same time.

 

Then I guess you need to get your kids to listen to you

if only it were that simple....my life would be a lot easier. Hard to reason with a two year old who thinks pressing the button to open the window is the most entertaining thing ever.

 

Following that train of thought... what would you suggest police do when they catch people speeding?

 

Give them a ticket

Maybe move your kids away from the window button or open up the door panel and unplug it completely

Maybe you can cover the switch on the back door with a cloth, piece of cardboard or something similar?? Maybe not cardboard, but you know what I mean.

 

+1 - If you make it look OEM (black plastic), you maybe able to trick a 2 year old.

 

We have a 3 year old so I know where OP is coming from. That said, a sharp "Stop pushing that button!" is enough to deter her.

For 5 minutes. Rinse, repeat.

I should add - it would be super if the window lock button only affected the rear windows. But, that's life.

 

LOL, I got the TL so I could squeeze all the kids in when necessary...not an option on the CL. The middle seat won't fit an adult properly, but fits the eldest one just fine for now...and when she too big for it, hopefully one of the others will be out of booster seat. I wish the lock would allow the driver to still have control over all the windows. I wish they would always listen! The minivan power windows are great in this regard, driver has full control, even when everyone locked out. I might attempt to 'hide' the button. Thanks
