Transfer fluid

So I took my 2012 SHAWD TL to Honda dealership to get the transfer fluid changed. The front desk wasn't sure if my car has a transfer case at all so the manager came out and he said yes AWD cars have it. Then they took it in and had it changed. After I reviewed the receipt, it showed 2 quarts of DPSF was used to fill up the transfer case. Is that the right fluid??
I flipped through the user manual and couldn't find any oil specs for the transfer case. Is DPSF the right fluid??

WRONG STUFF!!!

Tranny new oil DW1 Acura/Honda ATF
Transfer case new oil 80W90 gear oil
Rear differential new oil DW1

Go to them and get it fixed asap! It even says hyploid gear oil next to the drain bolt/fill bolt, and it says ATF on the rear differential that takes the ATF just like the trans.

I thought DPSF is good for rear differential. But yeah, I will definitely call them tomorrow to get it sort out. They might put the wrong info on paper or did rear diff instead because there's no way you can pull in 2 quarts for the transfer case....

So I did more digging and found this thread:
https://acurazine.com/forums/diy-faq...-fluid-792655/

So apparently DPSF is a 75W-90 weight oil and "can" be used as gear oil!!
Anyways, I called the dealership and they talked to the mechanic who did the job and he said he is 100% sure he put in 75W-90 gear oil.... but whoever wrote up the receipt used a wrong part #..... I don't know if I trust those guys 100%...
But if DPSF can be used as transfer fluid I think I am ok then...
What do you think??

Difference is shockload resistance. Stop and go is where its at. Hence why mt requires thicker gear oil, once the clutch grabs, it impacts the gear surface.
So yes, its ok for now but for long-term will be determined.

Not true for the OP. They list their car as a 2012. Starting in 2011 the rear diff requires DPSF.
