(especially on the auto-x course you could really tell the SH-AWD handling over the FWD (didnt get to autox the FWD version but had a good drive in it to test the handling) I wish i could have gotten to drive them in snow or rain to really see how the SH-AWD performed. As for sound levels, road noise was the same in both. It was quieter than the 11 i drove.
According to "http://www.leftlanenews.com/acura-tl...ve-review.html", the 2012 will have a quieter cabin than the previous.

One thing I'm still interested is how the new Acura 6-speed multi-clutch auto tranny performs compared to the real dual-clutch auto trannies out there ?

Is it possible for the Acura tranny to match-rev downshift all the way from 6 -> 5-> 4-> 3 -> or even 2, like the real dual-clutch tranny, when attacking a tight corner from high vehicle speeds ?

you might as well black them out yourself. im sure you'd spend less than buying a pair from the dealer

Yep, no quads...so you have to go by the rims...wild. Nice feature for the seats though. I'm waiting on the 5G.

Drove a 2012 SH-AWD today, I'm a current owner of a 2010 Tech SH-AWD here are my impressions.

Likes:
-tranny, silky smooth, doesn't hunt like the 2010 5 speed, big upgrade
-smaller silver trim on the trunk
-couple of chrome accents on the radio
-phone button
-interior door handles are chrome and real metal
-love the advance rims

Dislikes:
-rims on SH-AWD, looked like they are from an 08 MDX sport, don't look right on a sedan and i greatly prefer my 2010 SH AWD rims. wheel lock also sticks out on them and looks ood
-really dislike that they took away the chrome on the outside door handles
-i was never a fan of the 2010 front end/beak but i actually prefer it over the 2012
-don't like that they did away with the dual exhaust tips
-rear taillights they took away the chrome trim accent
-color choices

What about the noise level? is the 2012 SHAWD quieter than your 2010 SHAWD?

What about the ventilated seats?

I'm mainly interested in the 6 speed auto and the ventilated seats.

I didn't really notice the difference in sound, maybe slightly quieter. Same with the nav screen, no real difference, seemed a tad brighter but nothing that made me go WOW.

As far as the ventilated seats, dealer didn't have an advance in, and said it will take awhile before they have inventory. it seems like the advanced will be very limited in the early going. regarding ventilated seats, i had them in my STS and LOVED them, really really miss them.

one thing i don't like about the advance is the goodyear tires. in general i don't GY tires and the advance issued ones are low rated on tire rack. however if i was going to get a 2012 i would be hard pressed not to get the advance because of the seats and the rims.

I went to see and drive the 2012 TL today. It really is quite nice looking in the flesh. It all seems to fit together better now. I have to agree with the comments made above. The car is quite peppy and the shifts are much more instantaneous in manual mode (the double downshift was really fun). The ventilated seats work great and are instant on. Soon as I hit the switch, you could feel the cooling. I currently have a 2006 RL so my point of reference is going to be different, however, I thought the new TL felt more solid and seems a bit quieter than my RL. A very nice driving car.

I ordered one!

I noticed a sound difference in the 12 vs the 11. The 12 was quieter on the hwy. That was one of the larger complaints about the car they tried to address.

Oh and one thing about the vented seats, they pull air away, not push air towards you. They cool really fast and work well.

Actually I haven't seen one, but my RL is White Diamond Pearl/Ebony and I like the combination.

The stitching on that Advance model is brown now. I think I prefer the old white stitching.

If you're talking about the stitching on the seats, it's white in the Ebony interior.
