TL SHAWD Advance Package questions

Hi,
I have a white TSX special edition-can trade it in for a black/umbar leather 2012 TL advance pckg SHawd, is that a good deal or not? Also, what do people think is the best color combo for the TL? I think the graphite looks great, but love the look of the umbar interior. Also, is it possible to switch out the steering wheel and shift knob for the wood grain and what do people think of the wood grain look?

The umber interior has now become my favourite of all time. I had mostly black interior or beige leather in the past. IMO this Umber colour makes the TL more unique especially if you compare it to other cars in this price range, rarely they can be offered in such a different look. Also, I discovered one thing that I am very impressed today which is how Acura actually wraps leather around the seats. The back of the seats along with the storage pockets all see nice leather wrapping. That's a big PLUS for me as I really enjoy seeing leather.

Does anyone think there's any kind of reliability/durability difference between the TSX and TL because the TSX is made and built in Japan by Japanese and the TL made/built by Americans? That's one of the reasons why I got the TSX in the first place because it was an import built and made in Japan. If I wanted an American car I could have gotten a Buick or Lincoln or Caddy.

Many excellent and expensive cars are also made in North America (BMW X5, Z4 MB ML) if the quality control is done properly, there shouldn't be much of a difference. I have owned cars made in Japan/Germany/USA/Canada and I can tell you that none of them were perfect.

The TL SHAWD/Advance is an excellent choice. I happen to be partial to BWP/Ebony. But Black/Umber rates quite high on my list as well. It's just that Black requires so much work!

I agree white & or silver are best colors to maintain. My wife drives a black TSX and even a small rain drizzle makes it look awfully dirty. The white & Silver disguise the dirt

Good luck deciding. I enjoy '12 SH-AWD Advance in BWP

Scott, Potmilkz is right. If you're really good about keeping your car clean, you'll be fine. But black is one of the hardest colors to keep clean. Just know that going in....
