Hey man you are preaching to the crowd here. My wife traded in her 2006 TL and now has a 2010 TL. Beside that fact that it's a totally different ride, yes the car is a beast! I love my 3G TL, and would only get rid of it for two other cars. 3G TLS or the 4G 2010 and above. It has taken some time for the 4G to grow on me but I am slowly coming around to the dark side!

Is the G37 considered a competetor to the TL?

Indeed it does. I think the only competitor that's slower is the Lexus ES.

But.. just how much slower is it? You said that it's pretty slow compared to the G37 but ... I don't recall the difference was all that much, relitively speaking. Are we talking 0-60? 1/4 mile? I seem to recall that the TL is pretty close in speed to it's closest competitors.. oh well, it's a great car all the same and a huge differrence from the '08 TL I had.

0-60, 0-100...where are these coming into play and how many truly are Mario Andretti's out here? pound for pound, and my Grace as we say in the dirty south is "Thick", something like Serena compared to Halle Berry, Halle Berry..., or a dwag don't want a boy dats why he buries it...
The TL SH-AWD for all it's attributes and short comings is a hard ass combination to beat especially at the price.
If I had to do it all over again would I make the purchase, that would be a resounding YES!

It's slower by .2 on 0-60. However, which version of the TL are we talking about here?

.2 seconds...sounds like the driver might have a hitch in his/her giddy up! Reminds me of power when serving in tennis or throwing a football, it's about the mechanics, mechanics. That's why i find some of these times subjective. I've seen 5 drives get 5 different 0-60's with the same vehicles on a runway.

Yes, I agree with you completly! Driving it on the highway I didnt not realize I was already doing above the speed limit. Its such a smoth ride and off the start, in my opinion it is fairly quick. I would deff consider getting one.

Nah, just some people think a car weighing what ours does, with the engine ours has should have the 0-60 times of a 'vette/viper/(any super sports car). How fast is fast enough? There's just no pleasing everyone

I have no complaints but I am not racing anyone from stop light to stop light like I used to in my old Challenger back n the day when Camaros, 'cudas and 'stangs ruled the road. My car jumps up to freeway speeds real quick, can pass easily.. what more do we need?

It was the loaner \/ that we got from the dealer when the RDX was in the shop that cost me my S2000. Wife drove the shit out of that 4G and fell in love. So much for my S2000. At least I get to drive the TL 3-4 times a year.

Oh man this one looks good. But I had a different one. The one I have says all wheel drive on the back and it had different rims, some sports rims I would guess not too sure. But I could not get out of the car thats how much I loved it.

You're not alone. Even Porsche and Lambo owners want more speed for their ultra-fast cars. That's where the aftermarket tuning outfits come in.

I won't mind another 30 or so horsepowers for the 4G TL.

Yea, the difference between the 3G and 4G is huge; 3G looks great inside and out but isn't as sophisticated inside nor as stunning outside as the 4G.

Unless your spending big bucks the 4G is one of the most eye catching cars on the road, and with a few small modifications
