Tint Advice/suggestions?

I negotiated a tint job with my purchase ('12 black TL). Taking it in tomorrow (mon. the 20th maybe 21st) and was wondering if anyone had any words of wisdom, advice or suggestions. Looking at going with FormulaOne Pinnacle series (ceramic) 35% (darkest allowable here). Thanks!

If you are not going darker that 35% to stay legal, than I would go with Ceramic Tint. Huper Optics is the best in my opinion, Pinnacle is great to. I like 20% the best. If you have a light colored interior, it's not that dark from the outside. 3M has a non-metallic 20% that is excellent.

I recommend tinting the windshield as well. I have 70% 3M Chrystaline on my TL. This really keeps then heat out of the car. They also tinted my Sunroof with a special film to reduce the heat.

Just make sure you don't get any cheap, dyed metallic film. It will also effect the radio reception. Since the dealership is paying, they may cheap out on you!

35% is the darkest allowable by law here. I was concerned about them wanting to go cheap on me as well but the guy who sold me the car also drives a TL and he was showing me the tint he had on his which is a ceramic 35%. The tint shop is right next door to the dealership and that's who will be doing it...and the same people who did his car and it was a nice job. I wish I could go a little darker but no such luck. His car is gray and I'm hoping that since mine is black the 35 will look a little darker than it did on his car. But, who knows, maybe since it's black the 35 will look lighter than it did on his. I guess a good quality ceramic tint is better than no tint at all (?).

I just picked up my '12 TL Elite and I put 35% in the front seats, 15% for the rear seats and the rear window at 5%. I'll tell you why 5% for the rear.
During the day it isn't that dark and at night you can see a car behind you and see the road but the brightest lights will never bother you. You'll get used to it quickly and never drive it any other way. Good luck
Oh I also got the Formula One Comfort Series put in it blocks more heat and was a little cheaper then the ceramic Pinnacle series
