Test drive tomorrow...
Test drive tomorrow...
...or shall I say later today?! Either way, I'm narrowing down my choices for a vehicle to replace my '02 Rav4. In about 12 hrs., I will be test driving an '09 SH-AWD TL Tech. w/approx. 44k miles. It's the lowest priced TL I've seen in my area, within a 100 mile radius search on AutoTrader. The internet sales manager is saying he may be able to discount the car down even further to $26k., from $26,800 that they are asking now. While the CarFax is clean, I'm always intrigued when I see a car priced quite a bit lower than identical models with the same mileage. I've never been very good at picking up on aftermarket paint work, so let's just say I'm fairly nervous.
Over the last several weeks, I've been going back and forth with what I really want to purchase. I have been conflicted between the TL and an IS250 AWD. The few IS cars I drove I was quite surprised at how good it felt. Not nearly as much power as the TL, but even with just about 200 hp, it felt like it had some get up and go. I am very attracted to the amenities of the IS with the Luxury Package, but something keeps pulling me back to Acura. I'm not forced to make a decision "right now", so I have some time to drive a few more cars, which I plan to do...starting tomorrow.
I have gained a lot of knowledge from just browsing this site and reading all of the owners input on their vehicles and the experiences they have had when buying or looking for a car. Thanks!

I was very interested in an IS as well. Although my deal breaker was that I could get the TL in a manual transmission, I would've still stayed away from the IS just due to the limited space. There is very little rear legroom in those cars, especially with a driver over 6 foot.
Good luck!
Good luck!
The IS250 is a different animal in terms of size. My friend has one and it is very nice, in the front seat only. You might want to test drive other models as well.
When I was looking for a car I ultimately knew I wanted the
G, but test drove many other makes to confirm my instinct. (I didn't drive the 2011/2012 Acura, because my wife and I both knew it was not what we were looking for at the time, due to the styling)
