I have my car at body shop having some paint work done. One of the things i want to have painted is the silver inside the tail lights. The body shop is telling me that they can't open up the tail lights without the risk of breaking them.

I've seen others paint the silver in the tail lights and i was hoping i can get some instruction on how to do this.

Search for member JnC - he can crack the taillights and paint them for you. He's got a few threads here.

 

you have to know where to dremel the lights to take it apart.. its not as simple as bake and tear down..

Anyone know if the 2012 tail lights are exact size and fit as the 2010? Can you just swap them out?

 

from what i know, yes, it fits.

your better off sending your OEM to JNC.. brand new 2012 are expensive..
