Steering column noise?

Is anyone experiencing noise coming from the steering column when parking or pulling out of the garage? I only hear and feel this at virtually 0 mph. My old 05 TL never did this? Anyone?

I get an odd noise at low speeds or if I cut the wheel really hard, I think it's the electronic power steering.

Really? So it's not just mine. It doesn't feel good though if it is supposed to be that way. My 05' TL didn't do this? I fully documented the odd steering sensation in both my reviews back to Acura.

Yea I know what you mean, it doesn't seem like a good thing. That's what warranty is for though, but as of now, no problems, just a strange sound.

I have heard on rare occasions - usually w/ 1st turn of the wheel - a sound as if the steering wheel base was rubbing the steering column - but then that's it - then I hit the fun pedal on the right - and I dont care

the steering feel is one of my favs for the car

Any chance it could be a vibration caused by the anti-lock brakes? I'm not sure about the TL, but most vehicles go through an anti-lock system self test at low speed after they are first put in drive.

cant speak for the OP, I knew that sound from the my 3G TL - start car pull away slowly and you could hear / feel the ABS pump for a second - normal for the car.

Is that what that is? I hear a lock mechanism engage as I shift out of reverse then pulling forward. My old TL did that as well, I figured it was intentional and never worried about it.
