Sports Accessory Grille with Palladium Metallic?
So....
Now that we've all seen the pictures of what the midnight chrome, shiny accessory Sports Grille looks like, do you think it'd look good on a lighter car like Palladium Metallic?

Personally I think it might be too "Bling". But saying that, I would love someone to install it and prove me wrong.

Hmm... I don't know. I personally think the OEM grill is the better grill compared to the Sports Accessory Grille on Palladium Metallic. The latter just seems too shiny and too attentive catching, as Ron said.
For those who have time and have photoshop, I would love to see the (Palladium Metallic) grill painted:
1) entirely to match the car's body
2) only the parts that come up to the hood (a la the TSX)
Any volunteers?

Personally, when I get back to the States I am going to get the sports grill and have the beak painted Palladium metallic silver. I think the new chrome surrounding the painted beak will look great. We needed a chrome grill and rear trunk piece for the simple fact that all the accents and trimming on the rest of the car is chrome anyway! I think we should've had a chrome grill from the very beginning, because there is nothing classy or luxurious about brushed aluminum. Talk about being cheap and cutting corners! None of Honda's vehicles have brushed aluminum grills and accents, so why the hell does Acura have that cheap ass trimming, when Acura is more upscale than Honda!
And for all you naysayers out there, show me one, just ONE luxury car manufacturer in the market with brushed aluminum grills and trimming! Good luck finding one!

I think, the sports grille will look sweet on white or black.
Personally, i think the Palladium Metallic would probably be the BEST color of the TL, to match with the Ron Jon Grille. just my
plus... have you found the price yet? I am sure its not cheap. If i recall correctly, all 3 core components of the OEM grille, came out to around $700.... And if Acura thinks they've got a gemstone with this new grille, they will probably charge more especially considering so many people are quick to get rid of the satin metallic beak

Actually, it looks like (according to the bernardiparts.com site), that the front grille is only $234.24... Granted that does not count the install price. But really, not too bad to do. As others have talked about, i think color match the beak PM then leave the trim chrome might really be something great.

I'm picking up my replacement car this coming Thursday, and I asked the dealership to install the midnight chrome grille / tail trim. Will post pics as soon as I pick up the car. Hopefully, I'll be the first with WDP to show this combo off.

I apologise. I know these are hardly beauty shots, but I also know that nobody would let it rest until some pictures went up.
For some reason the contrast is greater in the images than it appears to be in the sunlight.
I will have it on the list of things to do to take better pictures.

Just ordered for my WDP TL in Toronto - $300 total for both pieces shipped - can't wait!!
Question - is this something I can change myself at home? Or do I need someone to do it?

Nice choice! I'm eating my words on this one, I think your color option works with that grille.
So consider me "proven wrong". Can't wait to seem more photos. Did you get the matching rear trim piece?

Thanks for posting the pics George. I've been eager to know what the sports grill looks like on PM. The fitment looks very nice. Did you install it yourself? How long did it take?
Any chance you can take a few shots a bit further away?
You should have someone take an action pic while you're driving the TL in the snow

You could do it yourself if you have the patience for it. Things like this aren't hard but they are time consuming and require an eye for it.

Yes, I did. The two pieces together were $285 shipped from an eBay auction by an Acura dealer.

Looks really nice George. I'd love to see some better, (as in non-iPhone), pics of it. I actually really like the midnight chrome sport grill. I think it would look pretty nice on a black TL too. Wonder if JnC can do matching headlight housings....

George, it really ties in nicely not only because of the color of your car but because of the wheels you have on the car which themselves look more like a Midnight Chrome. Awesome!

Hey George, are you the same guy that was on Honda-tech? I would do some mods to my TL if I could ever get my 2 grand back from that scumbag Dave Pittman, which I know I never will.

Yes, but not much longer. There's no time for it, and I don't like the way things have been going recently.
There's a long line of people in the same situation.

Someone here on AZ has 'um on his 4GTL PM and they look hot. I can't remember who it is but he's got at least 4 pics in his garage.
