Question Someone hit my car today

Someone ran into me while I was at the light. Being a female, I am clueless to what can actually be damaged behind my bumper. From what I see, the area surrounding my tag is dent along with my tag. My bumper is not aligned anymore along with the trunk and left taillight.

Should I take it to Acura before collision center to see if something else is damaged or will the collision center be able to tell? Are there critical components behind the bumper etc, I need to worry about? Collision paint matching car's paint.etc

If I left out anything please tell me so I will know what to ask them about.

So pissed right now because I purchased this CPO almost 3 months ago.

Thanks in advance

Organicgrl....I am deeply saddened to hear about your incident. Hopefully you are OK.
As far as the TL, the repair shop should be able to do an accurate assessment of the damage provided that they are reputable. It would wouldn't hurt to have a second opinion wherever you take it at....no one is perfect so having a second opinion will help determine if anything got missed and give you that peace of mind.

Paint matching is usually much easier on a darker color, white is a bitch from what I heard, so you should be OK. I know many will say that a good repair shop will give a paint job as good as the original paint but I am sorry, but from my experience, its never been the case. The job will look great but any little flex in the bumper will likely see the paint crack.

Best of luck...if you have pics, can you post them and if you can't, let me know via PM and I can help you post them for you

What weather said (especially about you being hopefully okay). Keep an eye on how you feel over the next few days, as rear-end collisions can sometimes be felt only a day or so later. Fortunately, the "active headrest something or other" that Acura employs should help mitigate.

Rear-end damage, like what you've described, can usually be repaired to like new. There are some exceptions, and that's likely why others have asked for pictures (our own form of AZ porn). Do get a couple of different estimates, and if there is any noticable difference in the estimates, ask why. You may find that one shop will quote on a quick and dirty repair, whereas a higher quote from someone else is for getting the work done properly.

Don't let an insurance adjuster push you around, and don't feel sorry for the person that hit you.

Thank you so much for your advice..Actually I never knew why the headrest was forward. When I purchased the car and drove around it was very uncomfortable getting used to..Now that I think about it now, my neck doesn't bother me but more so my lower back. Just sore but nothing major. I think this did help the impact.

Thank you so much. I called their insurance company so I'm assuming to wait until they call me tomorrow to get estimates. Right now just trying to find out what body shop my dealership uses although on the website it states they have their own body shop.

Sorry to hear about your ordeal. Always go to the doctor for a check-up, 58% of people involved in rear ended collisions suffer from back injuries much later after the event occurred. Better safe than sorry.
Good luck

Better go see the chiropractor and get a check for pain and suffering. Glad you're ok! Acura's are built Ford Tough lol.
