So, after a long, dedicated, stretch of owning Acura's, the time has come....

In 6 years, I've had a bunch of TLs, and really enjoyed being a part of AZ... of course, I'll still lurk around the forums

Of all my TLs, My 2010 Palladium SH-AWD was by far, the best looking and my favorite one of all. The wifey still has her 2003 SSM Acura CL-S

Took almost 9 weeks to get the car, which if pretty quick when you custom order... I got lucky...

I went for the 18" Sport Package instead of the 19 or 20...I would rather choose which OEM wheel I get... I am thinking about a 20" C6 RS6 Wheel, in gunmetal

Congrats!

I really liked the 2012 Audi A6 from the test drove I took. I ultimately bought the TL because I felt it was a lot of car for the money, but mark my words, an Audi will be in my future.

Any interior pics? What options did you get since you custom ordered it?

Didnt want to spend $6k on the B&O system (it sucked anyway) or $6k on the Innovation (night vision, HUD)

I was second guessing my choice, especially with the 18" wheels, but i'm pretty happy. Dont have it yet, pick it up in the morning. Snapped those pics at the dealer today

Audi A6, S5 & Q7 have the best residual values (in their respective class)

2009-10 A6s are still going for $40k in good condition

The 4G Acura TL, actually has a worse residual value, because of the high incentives and easy availability... i got screwed on my trade ($2k upside down!)

beautiful car - I was ready to pick one up before driving the TL but the audi dealer was such a pompous prick it completely turned me off during my test drive. I've never heard someone kiss their own ass so profusely. enjoy the ride

how does she ride compared to the TL? I rented an A6 several years ago when i was vacationing in miami. It was definitely an incredible vehicle.

I saw an Audi with led headlights next to me recently. could definitely tell they weren't hid. I thought the output and coverage of my hids were better. LEDs seemed a bit dim in comparison.

So, I plan to be modest with this one... at least at first...

Already tinted the windows... Upgrading the OEM subwoofer later this week.

After about a year, I plan to install H&R OE Springs and upgrade to a 20" OEM Audi Wheel (probably RS6, or S5)

Then... if I keep the car long enough, an APR Stage II tune should give me an extra 100+ hp. NO EXHAUSTS ON THIS CAR... As great as they sound, I am too old for my car to be vroom vrooming so loudly, everywhere I go

I havent drive mine at night yet, but took a test drive in January at night... LED headlights are incredible. coverage, vision, color.... unparallelled to anything I've ever seen... Only beef is, theres no real "fog lights"... they are in the headlight (like the 04-06 TL), and not in the lower valance

Night and day.... Not saying the Acura was bad, but the Audi is very "light" on its feet, smooth, more luxury, less sporty.... very nimble... The 8spd transmission was a big difference, since all my TLs had a 5AT

I actually liked the 4G TL steering more... a little tighter and more firm

dude-- I've seen the way you drive, and been in the car with you!! I dont have any helmets, so you may have to wait a while

BLACKURA_NY....Congrats on your Audi! If I had to chose another vehicle brand OTHER than Acura, Audi would be the one. That is a sharp looking car and love the color being a white car lover myself. That being said, the first thing that jumped at me (which is your beef too) is the "no fog lights" in the bumper. Otherwise, amazing car that will sure make the envy of the folks in your neighborhood.

Good choice. I've owned two Audi's S4 and A4 and loved them both. Lots of tuning and aftermarket possibilities. APR is my favorite to get chipped. I don't understand some of the negative posts about cost of repair. Both of my Audi's have been excellent with no issues.

Congrats on the A6 - I absolutely love that car - if only it had a 6MT I probably would jump on it. Would love to pick up an S4 someday - easy to get those into some crazy HP territory.

congrats, allon. its been years since weve chatted!

when i bought my TLtech back in feb i was searching pretty much all available luxury cars in the $40K range. audi was at the top of my list, i even talked to 2 dealers for an A4, but they just could not meet on terms like acura would with my challenger trade. i still kick myself for not getting the audi, but the TL is still a nice car!

but hey, at least now i got one less dude to compete with when i build this TL!

like you, i only keep cars about 2 years, 3 max (possibly this one)...but im def gonna look back into audi next trade around!
the A6 is beautiful man. congrats again!

Nice Pick up. I drove my customer's A6 yesterday..Supercharged! Electronics/Technology Galore! Although I would be scared to buy one. Probably lease with all that technology....something bound to go wrong. yeah the lead headlights were bright as hell!

Mostly the technology in the A6.. its pretty amazing.

Plus, Quattro really is a fantastic system, with RWD bias AWD.... 3.0 Supercharged & 8spd auto = better MPGs (i drive a lot, so it makes a difference)

car is smooth, bigger... overall i love... the only i like about the Acura more, was the usability of the Navi/Media interface... Audi is a little cumbersome

Plus this car is hella faster... Audi lists 0-60 in 5.2.... motor trend did a brake launch, and got 0-60 in 4.8 seconds

Glad to see your back with Acura!! I would have loved a Challenger, but RWD and low MPGs isn't a good move for me... i drive about 25-30k a year

Congratulation, nice elegant car, solid tech, top notch mechanics.

Personally I would have got some more serious machinery as upgrade (550i xDrive, S6 when it comes, MB CLS, Jaguar XF, etc)
I do not consider switching from a TL SH-AWD to an A6 3.0 that much of a step up.

Maybe it's a different perspective viewing The LEDs as a driver than in the next lane. Or maybe that Audi had issues with the LEDs.

Power wise, you'd be surprised. I desperately need fuel efficiency. I sometimes drive 500+ a week.... this car gives me 0-60 in about 5 flat... its light on its feet, and gets 28mpg on the highway

Its worlds faster than a 4G. I drove the 535xi... still nice, but so unoriginal... EVERYBODY has it. Also, the new GS 350 F sport... wasn't impressed (although the LCD screen/interior on the GS was pretty spot on, the outside was trying WAY to hard)

CLS = way outta my price range. XF too, and too bulky. I like the S6... if all goes well with the A6, that may be the next car... if the economy ever turns around

A6 is a pretty diverse car... it ranges from like $42k - $75k. Plus its very light on its feet.

I pick my cars very carefully.... i like to think the A6 will really become iconic over the next few months, as people start seeing/driving/buying it... Personally, I always choose cars that aren't very common.. (even the 4G TL is unique)... everybody has a BMW 3/5 or Benz C/E class

just took it for a late night spin.... the lights are interesting... they dont look bright as the driver, but you dont have to strain your eyes or squint... its like driving in the day light. plus the 5500K color is pretty sweet...

I saw the road better, than with my 4300K HIDs... worlds better than the 6000K I had

Congrats from a fellow 3G'er. I still say your white 4G was the best looking car. Good luck with the Audi. I'd love to get an A6, but I'm scared to death of the issues associated with Audis especially since I'm completely opposite of you - I tend to hang onto my car for a while. I hope you have good luck with yours. And who knows, maybe Acura will blow you away with the 5G and you'll be back.
