A Sad Surprise

I recently purchased a set of race pedals from Supercomputers. I received the Acura TL race pedals today, which arrived 4 days later than they were supposed to. No big deal until I opened the box. There is a very significant problem. The pedals are not as pictured or as described. These are what appear to be knockoffs that have a silver Sports sticker where the Custom Engraved and Painted Acura logo is supposed to be placed. The gas and brake pedals have the sticker and the dead pedal has nothing at all. I am sadly surprised and a little pissed that Supercomputers would try to pass these pedals off as what he describes in his thread. I have asked for either the correct versions or my money back. I will update this thread daily with the progress and will try to attach pictures of what I received.

I will post some pictures tomorrow. One other thing I just noticed is that the box has an Identification sticker on it with an inventory number and the place they were made = TAIWAN.

Everything can be made cheaper buddy. They knocked off my set with cheap infearior materials. GO see if the pedals on ebay last 7 NY winters and look the same as day one. You get what you pay for. Plus good luck paypaling your payment to CHina and waiting for them. Mine ship the day you pay and get to you 2 days later. I was brought out of retirement just to bring them back because acura members know and wanted my quality back. Ask around.

I have been on here 10 years. My reputation speaks for itself along with the 2 products I created.

D
way to back up your product supercomputer..

now one of your customers receives a blank pedal that you ordered.. that was suppose to be engraved by you.

instead he got sports stickers.. lol..

OP,

does it look like this?

seems like no one knocked of any of your set.. you bought them from Taiwan.. and all the bs that he stated about 7 NY winters, and china.. well obviously he is getting it from china..

oh and that statement about shipped in 2 days, well thats down the drain..

might as well go back into retirement..

would anyone trust a vendor that lies about their products?

I had these:

These are original JDM Honda Accord Type R Pedals. These were on my 06 TL, then on my 08 RL and now on my 12 TL. Only complaint I got was the dead pedal were out of place but at least the brake and gas pedal fit perfectly. You can substitute these with the exact same set up off the 07-08 TL Type S. Those have a glossy look to it where as my JDM pedals are a matte gray look to it. I got my for about $120 since its JDM Honda. But I think you can get the TL Type S set up for about $80 or so.

Update

I decided to go through PayPal to get a refund. I started a claim yesterday and Supercomputers responded last night.

He has stated that I can get a refund, which I will do. As there are several different scenarios for returning merchandise, I emailed him as to what process I need to follow. That is where we are at now.

I didn't waste my time installing them because I knew immediately that they were going back.

The pedals in the other pictures are nice looking and very clean! The reason I purchased them was because the engraving made the pedals standout. When I saw what I got, I felt liked I got scammed.

I am trying to upload pictures but I'm having a hell of a time.

Back in the "Acura TL Race Pedals" thread in which Supercomputer promoted it's race pedals, Pseudomaniac did raise a flag and did warn us about the possibility of knock-offs.

BUT, the mod had to delete all the warning posts written by Pseudomaniac inside that thread !!!

Just don't know which side the mod is on ?

Your right, Supercomputers and the mod staff or just me are in on it together to screw you all. You've been a member here since 2000 and you think the mod staff condone scamming (not saying that Supercomputers is a scammer) Get real.

The posts by Pseudo in that thread were ridiculously off topic (flaming the product ) not warning posts where he has some sort of inside knowledge that Supercomputers is selling a bad product/ knockoff.

No...my inital response to him was posting a link to the same exact pedals he was offering from another seller on Ebay for half the money. He then claimed to be the original manufacturer and yadda yadda - it got out of hand, and sure, I tried to have fun with it and got carried away.

My initial response was definitely for the buyer beware, and then the moderators decided it best that it all be removed, as is their role in said moderator title.

No hard feelings here, but I would offer that items being sold by "Acurazine Vendors" might need to go through a review process prior to being offered for sale and "site endorsed".

I received several "thank you" and "OMG that was so funny" PMs about the whole thing actually.

You raised enough doubt in those posts for me to avoid purchasing them. I would have been furious if as a new AZ member I bought from a vendor they approve and got ripped off.

Thanks man!

I haven't had any problems out of my doorsills... But I just couldn't talk myself into the pedals... I guess I'm glad I didn't. But if I'm not mistaken I've seen other members pics of their pedals and they seem to be happy with them ..Idk

You still could have gotten the same aftermarket pedals he's middle-man'ing for half the money if you looked around.

If you want quality pedals with the metal finish, I would wait for the part numbers on the forthcoming special edition model TSX's pedals to surface; they'll likely be extremely compatible.

By the way fellas Origianl Creator of the pedals and sills. My designs the others are the knock offs. My quality trumps everybody out there as far as materials. Ask around!

As far as Road Rage no worries he made a mistake. He apologized and it was accepted. Plus anything we sell can be returned if the customer is not happy. Again we have been on hear 10 years no worries and enjoy the product.

As far as Putz milk. He is a lonley misrable individual. These forums are full of good people who you can trust who love there Acura cars and work together. I have donated for 10 straight years to the Board Charity and many other events to help. What have you done putz? You dont know me or my product so mind your own business. Who has the milk on there face now?
