As for the lip kit, we have no disclaimers, except for the design direction or change in style, not fitment or quality. In a worse case scenario, if there are dissatisfied customers, we would replace the first version with the new one if that ever was the case (hasn't been the case yet).

Have you had a chance to see if your new rear skirts will cover the piece of the rear bumper that has to be taken out in order to accommodate the OEM kit? From the pics it looks as though there may be a fitment issue for those of us that have the OEM kit.

Hi Ron. I've been watching this thread along with the other one religiously and I had a few questions before I preorder the kit. I was wondering how many of the factory mounting points will be used to install the kit? The factory kit uses very little 3M tape and I was wondering if this kit would be the same, and most of the installation would be nuts and bolts.

The sides will be replacement sides so those will bolt on using the OEM mounting points.
The rear will be the saem as the front, and will cover the cutting made to have the OEm kit fit.

I had too sorry Do you think you will take the new kit off for the Ron Jon kit? I really like how the OEM looks in the rear, and also how it wraps around the whole bumper. I love the Ron Jon kit just wish the rear had a center piece!

Oh nice! After looking at more photos of the OEM rear kit I do see it to be a two piece kit, my bad! Keep up the great work Rondog

I'm flying out there next to mark up the kit for the final revisions. We're almost there.
All the uneven lines, all the ride height clearance, all the slight adjustments and details will be taken care of in this final stage. I won't settle or leave any stone unturned.

Cant wait to see it on MY WDP. That front lip looks sick as hell. Its turning out great Rondog keep up the great work.

Thanks, don't forget there will be a splitter piece connecting the two "fangs" in front, it will be removable, so if you scrape or damage it, you will be able to either leave it out or replace just that piece. It's also going to be nicely supported, so no sagging or distortion. We'll also be putting mesh behind the opening on the bottom. This kit is going to be extremely high quality...

Thanks for the update, that is exactly what I like to see. Rondy this is looking fantastic and your attention to detail is what we need when it comes to a kit for the 4G. Will definitely be worth the price and good enough for double what your asking.

On your first illustration of the front lip I almost passed out when I saw how low it was. I believe you said it was 1.25 under the front bumper. I live in the Bronx NY man and the streets are the worst in the boroughs. I like the idea of raising it 0.5, that would probably save me from replacing a few front lipkits.

This Friday we will be shooting the kit on a car to get a real good idea of how low it is and how much space we have. The kit is almost done, and any revisions at that time will be made.
ieh, the sides will be available after we complete the first 15 preorders, pricing is not yet established.
types1fan, the front will be slightly raised, but I wanted to get the measurements on the car first. I think we'll be making ghr front fangs a little higher off the ground, but the area right in front of the front wheels will be the same.

I'm a complete noobie when it comes to paint so please don't flame on me if this question is irrelevant.
Since two different materials are expected to be used for this kit, does anybody know if folks with the WDP color will run into any issues trying to match the paint color? I'm concerned b/c I currently have two different shades of white on the car, bumper and sheet metal, already and don't want a 3rd and/or 4th shade.

The material has no effect opn the paint, once primer is shot onto it, the paint is all the same. I've heard of paint additive that allows a little flex added to the paint may have a minimal effect on the color, but if you have the WDP, your best option is to have a local bodyshop do the color match so they have more control with the car on hand for reference.

Ok, here are some progress pics, this car is lowered with H&R springs, and the kit effectively lowers the front, sides and rear by 1.35" all around. There is PLENTY of clearance, and on top of that, the middle of the front has a higher ground clearance than the rest of the kit. We'll be making the final tweaks now, and straightening out all the crooked lines once we sign off on the design. The middle of the front will also get a diffuser style bridge between the two "fangs" and that piece will be a removable, replaceable part, so that will help with scraping or damage. Also, we'll be toning down the fins angles, for a slightly less winged look.
