RonJon 4th Gen Acura TL Body Kit Thread! **pg. 16 updated pics*

glad to see you guys came out with a kit to save this car lol. I have been saying for a while know I could never get a 4th gen cause it is so ugly but i think it doesn't look bad with this kit. I could definitely see myself driving one with this kit, rims, tint, color matched headlights, smoked tails and your grill it could look pretty good imo.

ever wonder why they recommend against it?
because they want you to buy their oem parts from their location.. its business, and they dont want any competitors.
now as far as fitment.. im not sure..

i agree with your logic...dealer would have made more money...because I would have purchased the rj lipkit through them....dealer has promoted and distributed the rj kits in the past but will not be- moving forward...primarily becasue of fitment....until someone on our blog gets the new kit and gives us honest feedback-we wont know.

Add on lip kits don't require a whole lot to them, they basically go on one way. Ironically, we had to make some adjustments tot he design to cover the holes that the OEM kit requires you to drill into your bumper.

in regards to the 4th gen TL front lip, that fitment looks flawless.

+1....Don't be a sheep with the wool pulled over your eyes. We call them "stealerships" for a reason.
^^^ Gentlemen, NO Aspec POS is going to look as good as this. The Aspec stuff looks like snap-on pieces. THIS.....makes the 4G look fantastic.
It truly transforms the car!

Doubled? From the site the lip is $480 and the full kit is $980 - I don't think I ever saw Rondy say either was going to be 1/2 the price.

We shipped oput a few front lips. The sides and rear are being built as we speak. The ABS supplier finally got his machines running. I have the TL from another board member going there next week fro a test fit on the grilles and the sides / rear.

Update:
Del is going to the ABS facility to have the next batch of grilles test fitted to ensure quality. Then he is going back next weekend for the test fit of the sides and rear.
So we are well under way.
Taking orders for everything now, grilles and body kits!

just making a observation, but your post makes you sound very gullible. We haven't even had one lip reach a customer yet, how on earth would they be able to make that determination. Sounds like Vitriol to me.

Some updates, the grille test fit was a success, some slight adjustments and it was dialed in, we kept the OEM grille to make a jig to test fit every grille that comes out from production. So thats done.
Now this week we produce the sides and rear for the TL kit with the test fit scheduled for this coming weekend. Then right into production if all goes well. Still have kits available from our initial production run, so if you are interested, nows the time.
