Remote Start

Has anyone installed a remote start while using the OEM key fob? I was told you can from a local shop that does alarm/remote installs etc. Any issues or is it ok?

i believe with a aftermarket you can.. but with the OEM RS you cant. seperate FOB for that.

Yeah thats what I mean...an aftermarket remote start using the OEM key fob...

No... and I even checked into using the new MDX fob/remote start and they are not compatible with the 4G TL. Would be nice...

The remote-start system on the 2014 MDX is totally different from that of the 4G TL.

On the MDX, the system is factory built-in into the powertrain control module computer (PCM), and isn't like the older type, such as on the 4G TL, that adds an external control module to talk to the PCM.
