Rear brakes almost done at 32k?

But the fronts still have about 75% left. is that normal? I had an inspection today and they said rear brakes had about 20% left on them and fronts had 75%. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this. It is what it is I guess but I thought fronts wore out faster. Any reason for this? Thanks.

I think under light braking the car will engage the rear brakes harder than the fronts in order to prevent the front end from dipping. So if you're the type of driver who will lightly ride the brakes while going down a hill for example, I can see how they would wear out quickly.

I wonder what Acura has done with the brake modulation logic? I noticed the 2g TSX seems to have the same problem too- eating rear pads before the fronts.

My 3G has 49K and has plenty of life left in the rear pads- it's the fronts that are getting close for replacement in another 10k. I'm a pretty aggressive driver so the pad life has exceeded my expectations.

it's not just an acura thing. it's a honda thing. the rear brakes engage prior to the fronts. this is from an SA that used to work at a honda dealership for a long time. accord, TSX, 4G TL. yes, it is to prevent nose dive of the front end.

It's not just an Acura or Honda thing; Nissan/Infiniti has the same issue and I'm sure other makes do too.
