Quick question on 6sp MT shifter

hi fellow 4G TL aziners,

i'm currently driving a auto 09 TL tech and am looking into trading it in for a 6sp MT 12 TL tech (40K km selling at $32K).

here's my question: i test drove the 12 TL yesterday and noticed that i can actually turn the shift knob (including the shifter rod) both clock-wise and counter clock-wise, along with the leather boot twisting.

i owned a 6sp 2G TSX before and don't recall being able to do this, so i'd really appreciate anyone with a 6sp MT 4G TL chiming in.

thanks in advance for all your input!

shift knobs screw on.
the leather boot will twist with it unless you drop the collar.

drop the collar and tighten up the shift knob if you do purchase it.

I wanna say most cars behave this way.
my 3G TL, I am able to take off the shift knob if I unscrew it all the way.

thanks for all your input!

to be honest it really felt like the shifter rod was turning as well but now i know it's just the knob.

hopefully i'll be able to pull the trigger on it soon.
