Go guys while I was driving on the highway all the lights popped up sh awd ecl vsa abs everything pulled over turned the car off turned it back on cel came on and I put the reader in and I got P2118 error code has anyone received this code on their cars and it says "throttle actuator control module" has anyone had this problem and solved it? Pleas help I have a 09 TL shawd with a k&n air intake please help

I googled the code, thats what i got. U already knew this thou. Id readjust the intake, seems like the throttle is snagging on something. Replace the intake with the stock and aee if the codes go away. When i replaced my filter, same thing happened to me, then it all went bavk to normal.

 

Maybe the k&n air intake caused the throttle valve to get dirty so it won't close or open freely. It may be worth it to take out the intake tube and look into the throttle body for any damage around the edges and where the butterfly valve connects to the body. Don't attempt to lubricate that butterfly valve or spray anything on it while the engine is running! Just clean it gently with some carb cleaner and a cloth. Also check if all the connectors, like the MAF on top and the other connector look ok and haven't been damaged. Usually with aftermarket intakes even if it throws an error, it adjusts after a while and the error goes away. So, chances are in your case either the butterfly valve is dirty or you got some loose connector or wires.
