Q's On Master Control Switches In Glove Box

Can anyone explain (in plain English) exactly what these do? I read the manual (I did, I swear I did) and I still was left not understanding the functions of these two switches. Before I start screwing with them I was hoping one of you experts could fill me in re: what they actually do.

TIA.

They do exactly what they say, they turn off your keyless access and they lock the trunk.

Which is ideal for leaving the car for a extended duration, such as going away on a trip, or leaving the car at the airport etc...

If you want to give a valet your car, turn off the trunk and give them only the transmitter part (keep the part that connects to your keychain with the physical key for the glove box.

Never give the valet your key, park your own car, even in places where you have to pay for it. Your just asking for a ding or funny smell. Seinfeld anyone? LOL.
