Proud New Owner of a 2012 TL SH-AWD/w Tech

So it took me a year to decide whether I wanted/needed a new car, and been eyeing a TL for that amount of time... but I finally pulled the trigger and bought this car, and I couldn't be happier.
I had to drive to Texas to get it (from Florida) but got it in Mayan Brown with Umber. It needs a little work, as I realized 3, yes 3 rims were bent. I actually thought it was a balance issue, and I need to replace the window tint and a small plastic piece on the driver's side door handle, but over all...I'm in love LOL.
I'll post pics as soon as this site will let me....not that you haven't seen this car before tho, right?

Congrats on buying your TL.

Bend rims = time to get better wheels and tires.

It's a crappy situation but I thought it was just unbalanced tires, and didn't think much of it on the test drive..usually its ALOT more noticeable. I'm flaming the dealership regarding this...we'll see as they're 900 miles away from me in Texas at this point.

Actually found some OEM 2011 5 spokes in charcoal that I think look really good. I'll save up for bigger/better rims in the future.

$28,000, tho after the bent rim issue, maybe I should have paid less

They're coming this weekend

I drove the FWD at a local dealer a few weeks ago, and felt like it was missing a little grunt. I could definitely feel that I was being "pulled" by the FWD.
This car feels way more "planted" and gives the sense of control around corners, tho I obviously haven't pushed the car to it's limits yet..probably never will

Cingrats on the new acquisition. I just picked up a 2011 TL AWD Tech Certified with 27,000 miles last month. Black on black. Definitely love the AWD and extra ponies vs FWD.

I wanted the 2011 because it was still of the older more aggressive design with the quad exhaust tips and more pronounced body line creases. Mine has the 18" 5 spoke premium wheels which give it a nice look as well.

Enjoy your ride....they are great cars!!

The quad exhaust "does" it for me. I'm kinda sad that Acura didn't keep that going with the AWD in the 2012's...also the 6 speed transmission is a little disconcerting, as it's always trying to find the right gear. Tho, I can't fault it on the highway...it's gets the same gas mileage as my 08 civic!

Nice Jayro, welcome! I love that color combo, they had one by me for sale when I was looking but it had a ton of miles. I still thought twice about it though

Congrats, but for what you paid and the traveling, you could have gotten the mint condition one in NJ for less money. I think it's at bridgewater Acura.

Congrats on your new TL, very nice and also rare color combo. Never have been opposed to picking up a car a few states away, driving home usually goes to quick.
Can't wait for the pics, hope you get the new rims on quickly.

I did see two in NJ, but to rent a car from Enterprise was $24 (pick up in Tampa and drop off in College Station) for the trip. Yeah, gas was another variable, but I figured it'd be a sunk cost regardless...plus I couldn't take off any work so I had to do it in a weekend...which I did. I'll never play that game again.

Pics to come as soon as it doesn't rain after work here in Tampa.
