Planning to buy 2011 TL SH-AWD w/ Tech
Hi all,
I'm new in the forum and planning to buy the 2011 TL SH-AWD w/ Tech. I saw some pros got a pretty good deal and just trying to get some detail of how much you got the TL from and how to negotiate with the dealer.
BTW, I live in Boston, MA...
Many Thanks~

1) Check Edmunds and True Car to get an idea of what is a good price for the car you want in your area;
2) Use the phone/email to get quotes from as many dealers as exist within a radius you'd be willing to drive to pick up your new car. The more competition, the better for you.
3) Once you get a quote that is close to a good price (as determined in step 1), take that to other dealers to see if they'll beat/match it. Take your time; you'll find someone willing to deal with you on your terms.
Three caveats: 1) try to get your quotes in writing (i.e., via email); 2) make sure you get the VIN/mileage of the car you're getting quotes on; you don't want someone giving you a good price on what turns out to be a demo (unless that's what you want); 3) if you have a dealer with which you've had good sales/service experience, think twice before you pass on that dealer over a couple of hundred bucks. Having a dealer you like/trust is worth a lot.
Good luck with the purchase. It's a hell of a car.
