I'm always requesting pictures on this site, but I need some pictures of the mufflers of the TL (preferably SH-AWD) showing how the tips are connected to the muffler. The reason being, is when I get my TL, I want to change out just the tip with some nice round stainless steel ones to make it subtely aggressive.

These are the tips I had in mind at the moment, although I do like the burnt titanium tips look as well.

The reason I only want to change out the tips is because I'm concerned about about having a raspy tone by replacing the whole muffler. But I want to know if there are two outlets from the muffler or if there is one with a separator and if I'd need something like this as well to weld the tips to:



Also, I'd like to know a rough measurement from the end of the muffler to the end of the tip, if this makes any sense...

 

The muffler exit is just a single pipe, the 'dual' tip is just on the tip itself... but the tips are welded on so you would have to cut them off and weld on different ones.

 

And that is fine, as I figured nothing less than welding would be involved. I just like to prepare everything for when I get ready to buy my TL! I just don't know if I should buy the 4" long ones or the 7" long ones. Thanks again CleanCL.
