Does anybody know what the dealer cost is on the oem underbody lip kit?...My final negoiating move will be to give me a lip kit at dealer cost to get the deal done but I would like to know how much it is before I go for it. Thanks!

Aren't those the msrp prices??? I'm trying to find out what the dealer's cost is on the kit. Basically so I can find out the mark up on it.

Really....that high???....Its $989 with free shipping on ebay from Curry Acura in NY....I would have thought the dealer cost would be more around $700ish or so. If the dealer cost is $918 then that dealership on ebay is giving them away at cost? Hard to believe they would do that right?

 

Their cost I have no idea. That's how much I can get 12-13' kit and 852 for 09-11'.

 

Maybe its my fault that I'm not getting the correct answer possibly. Let me try and rephrase what I am trying to find out. I went back and read what I typed and it could be read a couple different ways.

What I am looking for is not how cheap I can get the lip kit for. I am trying to find out from a salesman on here or possibly a parts manager or just a TL enthusist that has more knowledge than I do, how much it costs the dealership to buy the lip kit from Acura. For example the dealership sells the kit for $1400 plus installation....but they bought it from acura for $800 so the local dealership would make a $600 profit. I am trying to find out the price the dealership is paying for the kit not my personal expense.

I hope this clears up what I'm trying to find out and I hope somebody has some knowledge on this. Thanks for the responses they are greatly appreciated. Can't wait to get my TL on Monday!!! ( I'm just trying to suck this lip kit out of them at cost before I pull the trigger!!!)

You really have to know someone who works in the Acura dealership in order to get the "dealer cost" for OEM parts.

 

I got quoted 860 shipped from Ack on the group buy thread for the 2010 lip kit

 

I had a dealer quote me $344.25 for the front lip as his cost.

 

the mark up for the dealers on OEM parts is ridiculous.
