How are you guys, im not sure if this post belongs here but..............

i am new to the forums, and am looking into buying an Acura Tl Sh-AWD Tech Package in Black (hopefully)

i was wondering if there is anything i should look out for when i go to test drive a car and do you guys recommend any websites where i can find a seller for an Acura Tl, any possible Mods i should look into to improve the look and performance. i originally wanted a 2012 model because of the change of the beak, but i might end up settling for a 2011 model since its cheaper by the thousands and just install a custom beak onto it, ive heard of Ron Jon Grilles threw this site, any other grilles you guys recommend ? what type of wheels look great on the TL that you guys recommend, i would like to hear all your thoughts and ideas and opinions.

Looking to purchase from a dealer, i live in the NYC area

StanTheMan...Welcome to the forum and good luck with the search of a TL. While I agree that saving a few thousands may be a good idea, for me, I'd hold off on the mod and get the advance of the 6 speed transmission (if you are going auto) and modify as extra $ becomes available...That is just my opinion of course.

Welcome Stan! The 2012 TL does have a nice grille compared to the 09-11' tl's.

But if you do go with a 09-11' TL - you do have the option of painting the OEM grille to match the car color.

Some members have done this mod, and it looks great, imo. Have fun in your TL search. Try autotrader.com & cars.com

Stan...Oups...I meant "advantage" not "advance" in my previous post....I missed the deadline for editing. Lawnpro did raise a good point about painting the front grill and the OEM bodykit looks better on the pre MMC. That being said, the post MMC also have advantages so you will have to weigh what works best for you....Keep us posted

Looks good...It is a 2012 and its black. I can't comment on the price because in Canada, our prices are way different than yours so I don't ve a good feel for price paid in the US. It is a good idea to go check it out and take it for a test drive.

Make sure you inquire on the car (accidents??) and check for any visual damages but yeah, its a great looking car and love the 18 inch wheels

car looks good ... price is eh ... i paid just a little more for a brand new 2012 shawd tech, if the car is clean, make sure u haggle hard to get the price down significanlty ... best of luck to ya

Yeah the price seems a bit high i was hoping to find one on the 30k price range or below it,

im going to take my father in-law with me, hes good at negotiating with car salesmen.

if the price is right, im pulling the trigger on it.
