Need to replace rotors and pads, upgrade suggestions?

I like Akebono Pro Act Ceramic pads , reviews are highly positive, that is what led me to them in the first place. Experience has taught me that warping issues are pad related and I only buy high quality pads. Here's a link with a great read Technical White Papers

Even though they are a bit expensive, I HIGHLY recommend Racing Brake slotted Rotors. I have them on my MDX and 2004 TL and they are phenomenal! There is a lot more inital bite (even with factory pads) and the bite continues to increase as your press further unlike the factory brakes. The front's on my TL are rock solid with over 100K on them. I would not recommend slotted for the rear brakes! They will chew through your pads in triple the time. On the fronts, the wear out slightly faster but not much more than factory.
If you want performance brakes, EBC pads and Carbotech make some great options.

I have 30k on mine and they are basically brand new according to my last inspection. But the deposited rotors vibrate so badly when braking that they will be replaced soon.

my oem's lasted about 90k km.
i switched to stoptech slotted cryo rotors and hawk lts pads. i also got ss lines from xlr8. great combo! The lts pads seem to be a bit harsh on the rotors though, but i generally like to replace my rotors with the pads anyways, so it's not a huge deal for me.
