Need help rereplacing fob slot

Hi All...I am brand new to the forum and looking for a little help replacing the fob slot in my 2009 TL SH. My gf was parked with the car running and decided she needed to take a key off her keychain and yanked the fob out of the slot while the car was running. Now, the car doesnt lock because it thinks the fob is in the slot. I have purchased a new part but dont know how to get the trim pieces off. I bought the 3 day subscription on helm but it is junk and doesn't give me any info. Can someone explain how to get that trim piece off that surrounds the fob slot? Or, if someone has a snapshot from a manual that would be fine too Im assuming it may just pop off but dont want to break anything.

Thanks for the info!

After you replace the fob, do a google search on how to replace the GF!

Use a pick or something with a 90deg bend to it. Go in along the side of the fob hole and grab onto the side of the carrier. gently pull back on it and it might fix your problems.

Attached is what the dealer sent to me when I had the same issue. I found the pick option easier.

Damn, that's extremely useful to know. Is there a repository of these manuals, aside from that zip posted on here?

Beats me... that's just what the dealer sent to me when I called about the same issue.

They were all like... "Its a quick simple fix...Bring the car in."

I was like "F' you I'm 200+ miles away, tell me how to fix it!"

Haha, I should try that next time I have an issue! =P (Even though I'm less than 5 miles from my service center)

Thanks for that PDF and the laugh.
