Looking for a rear window wing

I did a search and I wasnt sure if i used the correct terminology.

I'm looking to get a painted rear window wing/spoiler similar to the one in the ebay link below. This one seems to resemble an BMW M3 winglet in terms of the shape and how it curves upward. Is there another type out there that you guys have seen or have that is perhaps a little more flat.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Thanks in advance

I really love these window spoilers, they look hot on the 4G. I would rather have one of these then the one on the trunk (but I'm not giving up the rear-view camera). I do question the airflow over these. They might not do anything, or they could put just enough drag on the car to cost you one mpg on the highway.

It's called a rear wing roof spoiler. It's a lot larger than how it looks. It does curve upward but it looks great when you view the car from the rear. I have one and I got it from an ebay seller named shadowspeed. It cost me $40 + $28 for shipping. The car looks like the "Total Package" with it. It definitely completes the car!!!!!!!

I've been eying this one for awhile. You guys don't think it's too much with the roof antenna and trunk lid spoiler? I don't want the car to look Ghetto.

I love these roof spoilers-they look terrific. I've got one for my Type S. Get one-you won't regret it.

Easy to install. Clean windshield with IPA and remove non-tacky side of double sided tape. Have to remove it slowly and work your way to the end.

i'm a dumb ass... i did that in like 5 minutes... i could have spent more time adjusting and make it look even more precise...

The beauty of this particular spoiler, was it was made out of, essentially, a harder rubber. the paint was also treated for rubber/plastics, so it holds to the spoiler REALLY well and allows the ability to adjust it. wish i took more time installing mine

then width is perfect, there is a tiny (1~2mm gap) because of the way i lined it up. best $77 i ever spent on a mod.

Just thought I would share my experience with this roof spoiler...

+ The material is a flexible plastic/rubber. I didn't weigh it on the kitchen scale, but its substantial...maybe a pound and a half and solid all the way through. Paint match on PM was dead on.

+ The piece itself is straight, but the roofline is curved so the ends need to be pushed into the corners...which makes installation difficult. I won't lie, I screwed it up. I initially tried to start at one end and slowly peel the tape backing off as I worked across the glass. Unfortunately, this method made applying the silicon adhesive impossible, so I decided to start over with all the tape backing off and the adhesive applied to the entire spoiler. When I tried to reseat the part that had already touched down, the tape wouldn't bite down, so pushing it into the corner was impossible. I know when I'm beaten, so off came the spoiler until I can get some new 3M double-sided tape.

+ Tips for anyone else? One, have a bottle of goo gone around in case you screw up like I did. Two, have a homey there to help. It seems like a simple enough install, but it'll work best if you have two sets of hands to hold it in place (and get around the big ass of the TL ) while the tape/adhesive cures.

FWIW...the 3G forum has had quite a bit of discussion on this product. Seems like some people are not digging the way it ages:
