Switched out the DRL's for LED's, parking\turn signals for LED Switchbacks and just swapped out the Fogs for 5000K HID's. The white LED's match the new HID fogs really well for color temp.

Now all I need to complete the look is a set of "quality" 5000K HID bulbs for the main projectors.

Anybody out there switched to 5000K HID D2S bulbs that they can recommend and have lasted? Looks like a minefield out there with anything ranging from $20 a pair to $125 a pair and the reviews seem to reflect crap at all price levels in one form or another with life expectancy being the real key.

 

I'm not sure about 5000K bulbs, but I'm using the 6000K Philips bulbs and they would probably match

 

I had 5000k hid, they are just dimmer version of 4300k. You can barely tell its whiter. Best one I seen is osram cool blue. My oem pretty muh color shifted to about 5000k so far after 3 years or use. Plus rdx projectors have lots of rainbow colour effect which makes it look more like 10,000k (at headlight). I think tsx and rdx projectors are the same but I'm not sure about the tl projector. If it doesn't have much rainbow effect then get 6000k.

 

Maybe it is all in the projector glass \ construction. The TSX headlights always look much more blue than the TL. I wonder if Acura fit the same headlight bulb across their models, would make sense right? I think they all use D2S bulb fitment.
