Long Term Weekly Update on TL 6MT
Long Term Weekly Update on TL 6MT
Interesting read:

The one paragraph that caught my eye was this:
"In terms of driving, the TL has good power and handles well. The 2-3 shift seems to have intermittent problems engaging as I’ve been kicked out of 3rd a few times. And the clutch take-up on the car is so high that it’s hard to find the exact amount of throttle to get a smooth start from a red light—I’m usually over- or under-revving it."
I've posted this numerous time in the "Problem & Fixes" Section of the 4G TL forum. https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...=758607&page=2
Looks like those of us on AZ are not the only ones experiencing the 3rd gear popping out. What say you Acura? Isn't it time you issue an "investigation?"

hmmmn...The wife rarely lets me drive her Techno-Biatch..But I have never encountered the problem with the 2-3 shift...Red light starts with a drive by wire system is a pain ..But have this issue with our TSX and Vette...I tend to forget that the gas pedal needs to be modulated
Some had a similar problem with the 3G, don't know if it is the same thing. I had something like that with the TLS at times. It needed a little extra pressure and a second or two more before it went completely in. Anything less or what is considered a normal shift and it only seemed as if it was fully engaged but would kick out as soon as you gassed. Many seem to think it was shift gate related others had success swaping the tranny fluid to something better. No problem with the 4G though.
