Local dealer hounding me already

Has anyone elses local acura dealer been calling trying to get them to come in and talk about the new TLX? I received 3 calls in one day, one while I was already on the phone with them. How about they wait for some real worthy information to come out.. like HP/TQ and price

duh. they are in sales.
their job is to sell you shit.
they will sell you shit whether or not you need it. whether or not there is info or not.

their main focus is selling shit.
ignore them if you are happy with your 4G.

^^ I agree but as the OP said, they should at least wait till some information is available. We have no idea on pricing, specs etc.

I am sure Honda/Acura keeps notes in their computer about all of us. I wonder if they know that we are acurazine members and how they feel about that?

I get calls all the time about trading mine and that it's sought after. I remind the guy that it's an 09, the first year. He tells me that people love the style and can work a great deal. One the new ones are in I'm going to test drive the hell out of it. Then hop in serenity and head on back home with no car payment

I've gotten one email from a sales consultant at my Acura dealer in regards to the new TLX. Just wanting to know if they can answer any questions I have. I plan on replying soon and "cc"ing my go to sales guy to let them know I'm interested in checking out the V6 sh-awd model eventually.

Only thing I got from my dealer was a post card mailed to me trying to get me into a 14 TL or TSX. I guess they just wanted to clear their inventory in prep for the TLX.

I am a smart one. I picked up my 2006 TL for $23k OTD in 2010 and have paid it off since last year.
she has 65k miles on her and I dont plan on buying another vehicle for at least 10 years.

do you know why salesmen use the same old tricks?
because it works. there are dummies out there!

Mine emailed me back with this, not really hounding other than all previous marketing emails tryin to get me to buy a 2014 or trade in my 2010 SH-AWD Tech w/6MT(that is now at 15300miles lol and paid off). Guess the TLX will have to really impress me to change (although the biggest complaint I have is the Tech package isnt very techy by my standards... (USB 1.1 and crappy ipod interface in 2009/2010 lol lame) but we'll see...

Most likely will replace the 08 Denali with the newer 2015 if it lives up to its promises but alas no car payments are always a nice position to be in...

Dear Travis,

Thank you for your interest in the Acura TLX. I hope all is well with you. I wanted to let you know that I just received your request for information on the all new Acura TLX today.

I will keep you informed as to the release date and when we will have inventory to see/drive. Currently we anticipate a release date sometime this summer.

In the meantime, please let me know if you need anything else.

Is Acura's strategy to eventually come out and say that all first year production cars are sold out?

Maybe that is why they are calling you all to sell the TLX before it even goes to the dealer's show rooms.

Its not a bloody iPhone, its a car!

Lol, it's what I named the car. Since it's pearl white with two tone interior I have a feeling of peace and tranquility when driving. Top it off with no payment and only 25K miles on it. So far it doesn't burn any oil and fortunately no TC issues. Hence the name. Hope I didn't just jinx her
