Hey all, Don't know if this was covered before, but this is a brief installation of the Yellow Lamin-X overlays on my 2012 TL. Reviews have shown that these overlays were too large to fit the fog lights- THIS IS NOT TRUE! All you have to do is remove the whole entire fog light assembly out to install and put them back in!

Step 1: follow the steps on how to change out your H11 Fog light bulbs or how to install an HID kit into your current factory fog light setup by only removing the splash panels and bolts underneath first. Then only two philips screws should be removed to take out the whole entire fog light assembly. (Sorry, forgot to take pics of the removal)

Step 2: I used the wet method (all you have to do is mist the overlays with water)and i only used my fingers to press out all of the water, no need to use a squeegee. Don't worry the heat from the fog lights over a few days will help "cure" the film onto the lens and eliminate any bubbles as well.

Make sure to use a razor or an exacto knife to cut off the two tabs on each film

This is how it looks like assembled back into the bumper

I also used 2500K yellow Nokya bulbs that really weren't neccessary- the stock white OSRAM or Stanley bulbs are just fine. The yellow bulbs just yellows it out a tad bit more.

Step 3: Admire your finished Product!

I was very lucky, there really were no bubbles, it was just like the natural moisture that was trapped in there like when you do tints, they disappeared in about 2 weeks (i left my car parked in the garage)

Nice paint on your nail Joking, I know it isn't your hand.
I did the same but bought my yellow vinyl from ijdmtoy. It came as a sheet for 6.99 and I had plenty left over after doing my tl.

Nice work it turns out good. I may do a bright white or blue color - just want to make sure I won't blind oncoming cars.

LaminX is some good shit. Ive got the yellow film on my fogs and love it.
I didnt like that they lost a lot of the yellow tone once light was pouring through them

I got some not so expensive Nokya Arctic Yellow (yeah I guess its Arctic piss snow Yellow) and they are so damn gold when you turn the lights on. I love it!

I ordered some LaminX too for my 2010...but mine weren't as oval shaped as the fog lenses. I still put them on and you can't tell but I know they didn't cover the whole lense.

LMFAO, sorry AntSauce I read your post wrong, yours are round like mine too right??, the film is flat but will conform to the rounded fog light perfectly with no problems!

Danny, we have a Mult-Quote Button on AcuraZine. It's the icon in the lower right hand corner of each post. You can respond to more than one person in a single reply. It will look like Post #17.

Be sure to give it a try!
