Kind of bummed out...

I just got done test driving a newer (but used) TL with a 6MT. I really like it but I really don't like buying used cars (I have been burned one too many times) and I like to lease. so I tried looking for a new one anywhere in the country (which about a week ago there was at least one available) and they were all gone.

My dealer is going to try looking in their system but I am not getting my hopes up.

If you get a thorough inspection of the car, I think you'll be fine if you're truly in love with the vehicle. Was it at a dealership or private sale?

CPO or no deal.. that is my theory.

never go through private sale for these type of things.

acura vehicles are easy to maintain and if things break usually its not as expensive as other brands such as bmw or mbenz

It is at a non acura dealership. 45k miles for $30k with the body kit

I was hoping for new off the lease, lower payments, and option to simply walk away after three years if/when I want a new car.

I always buy used cars and I would never lease.

For that price, you might as well look into a 2014 and see what kind of deal you can get.

to be honest, if you have the aptitude to work on your own ride, buying used and warranties shouldnt matter.

the 6MT is a special breed

You never mentioned the year of the car. Is it an mmc or early gen4. 30k seems steep with that many miles. I kbb.com my mmc with 18k miles in pristine condition and it was valued at 30k.

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=98056&endYear=2015&modelC ode1=TL&sortBy=distanceASC&showcaseOwnerId=0&start Year=1981&makeCode1=ACURA&transmissionCode=MAN&tra nsmissionCodes=MAN&searchRadius=0&trim1=TL|SH-AWD&mmt=[ACURA[TL[TL%257CSH-AWD]][]]&listingId=374858106&Log=0

here is the link to the car (for some reason the direct link isn't working, but if you just copy past it into your browser it should work).

I have two leases now and love not needing to ever worry about paying for minor issues since it is always covered under the factory warranty. I also keep my cars for only 1 to 3 years, keep them completely stock, and drive less than 12K miles per year. So leasing seems to work out for me.

Knowing now that I can't get a new one, I am probably going to wait a few months to purchase and just try to get as low mileage as possible and maybe try for a CPO.

CPO is also BS, I can do 150 check point inspection if needed... depends on dealership maybe. I got burned with CPO big time with previous Acura TL (due to my poor experience/knowledge) that was in accident and repaired/painted.

Have you considered an A-5 or a 4 series? Both are readily available with a manual.
