Steven Bell did an awesome carbon fiber wrap, others have painted theirs. Personally I took the lazy way and just purchased a cover off of ebay.

I used a paint and primer in one. Came out ok, I used a metallic paint (shimmer instead of flat) cause I thought it would look good but it looks like hobby paint from when I was 10 years old. I'd recommend flat all the way.
When youre taping up the black areas, make sure you push down the tape in the grooves along the sides or the spray paint may seep under it
