Keyfob Paint Repair

So I bought my car a couple of weeks ago, and the keyfob looks like it's been used as a hockey puck. The paint on it is worn off, and I wanted to refinished it.

What paint should I use? I want something that will hold up to wear and tear, but also not rub off on my clothes.

Steven Bell did an awesome carbon fiber wrap, others have painted theirs. Personally I took the lazy way and just purchased a cover off of ebay.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I think the wrap is the way I'll be going.

I re-painted it. I will probably clear coat it when I do it again.

It's pretty easy to do...

I actually saw your post in the other thread, and it inspired me to paint mine instead of wrap it.

What kind of paint did you use? I have the same problem - yours came out great!

I used a paint and primer in one. Came out ok, I used a metallic paint (shimmer instead of flat) cause I thought it would look good but it looks like hobby paint from when I was 10 years old. I'd recommend flat all the way.

When youre taping up the black areas, make sure you push down the tape in the grooves along the sides or the spray paint may seep under it
