I just saw a 09 TL commercial for the first time. It shows a fist going towards a wood and smashes through it. Out from the other side a TL comes out. Seems kinda lame. There is just a side and front view of the TL. Nothing more.
Acura's marketing team could've done better IMHO

It starts with the sound of a slow drumbeat and then the sight of a man in shadow/right profile punching through a wall of wood in slow motion with fragments of the wood scattering to the right.
It then cuts to a silver 2009 TL, first in right profile and then in head-on profile. The final screen image reads: "Acura Advance"
This is the narration (in a male voice):
"Strength is Power
Introducing the all-new TL
The most powerful Acura ever built"

They should've better coordinated the different elements of their marketing campaign by simultaneously releasing the commercial on their website as well as on TV/print.

Actually I find this board to be a realm of positivity. A whole bunch of TL 4Gers who absolutely LOVE the car, banding together through everything from 4G hating to malfunctioning trunk trays. Occasionally we do need to fend off bully 3G owners (who may very well be colorblind and crosseyed), but we do it as a TEAM dammit!

Yea, It's Me!
Too bad the same team that did the U.S. ads didn't do the Chinese ads. Just Imagine that beautiful Transformer front end TL blasting through a tank in Tiananmen Square!

You know, I see 53 people so far signed in as new 4G owners, yet only a handful of those 4G owners actually post here....some guys like Wavehogger seem to have disappeared.....what gives?

I don't understand why they did the Chinese version in San Francisco for the commercial? Shouldn't it be in China? Yeah, where is hogger, he's MIA. I like the rear too Hydro, we got booty baby!

Nice to know some AZ'rs are thinking of me. All is well here in the beautiful icy/snowy/saltly mess of Massachusetts. I've been in and out reading here, but been busy with work and things and haven't been driving the TL because it's been horrendously messy and I can't bring myself to subjet my baby to it all. I'll be using our older suv that we kept until the spring thaw arrives. I've just been taking it for a ride when the roads are occasionally dry and through the touchless wash. And as much as I want to chime in on some threads, the trolls are just too annoying, and time consuming, so I bite my tongue and enjoy the laughs from S2000 and everyone else who corrects them. Oh and I had the flu recently for a week, that was awesome!
That Chinese ad could play here, since they are playing the Beach Boy's. They just needed to shoot a version with those two lines in English. Though it doesn't fit Acura's current ad theme of breaking everything and being all mighty and powerful. But it could appeal to more women and push their significant others to buy the TL.
