Long time Honda and Acura owner. Also own Porsche and BMW. Was about to buy my wife a new 535i but kept coming back to the Acura TL. The styling in some colors is a bit much, but when we found a Borealis Blue I bought it on the spot.

Got it for $2800 under invoice after mentioning the $3k dealer hold back. Traded my 06 TL and got $15k credit. Wrote a check for $22k and change and feel like it was one of the best deals I have ever got.

The car is fantastic. The BMW handles a bit better, but does not have the same power in IMO. Getting an outstanding sedan for a good $20k less erases any other differences as well.

I was going down the 535i route because I just ordered a 335ix coupe w/6M for my daily driver and the ordering/delivery experience was great. The 335ix coupe drives like a dream

I am very glad I bought another Acura.

 

The 335ix coupe is just gorgeous. The new 5s look like the coupes but with four doors. BMW hit a home run with the the 5s design.

$22K out the door is a really good deal for an 11' TL.

 

acura interiors are great. Though the TL leans toward males vs Females. The TSX is definitely more of a female car. But I do lovee the TL interior is absolutely beautiful compare to the 525, plus the reliability is better to. congrats, hope she likes it!

Borealis Blue - I have this color 2. You will have to look & see how the appearance changes under different skies (such as overcast) sooo much easier to keep clean than my old black 3G. I think I have only seen one other of the same color on the road (dont think its avail for the SH-AWD models anymore)

I would say that the BMW is more balanced due ti its mechanical layout...but if you are talking about the 535i (non AWD) the Acura has much better road holding capabilities...and I suspects it handels better than the xdrive models too..

I like the BMW steering better...

did they only offer the borealis in awd for 09 only? i think if they had it with black interior for 10 i might have gotten that...
