It's snowy here and I am having Palladium Metallic envy... LOL

Winter came very early this year and we have been below freezing for weeks now... sigh! Anyway, even though my Mayan Bronze Metallic TL is so much better at hiding dirt than my previous car (1G TSX in Night Hawk Black Pearl which was a beautiful color but an absolute nightmare to keep clean!), it's still a pretty dark color and the dirt is showing pretty easily.

Today, I went to the mall and parked close to a 4G TL SH-AWD in Palladium Metallic. That car looked so darn clean from a distance! Then on closer inspection, it was actually really filthy but the color just hid the dirt really well.

On a sunny warm day, I love dark colored cars, but during these long, cold winter with rain/snow/slush/dirt/muck etc, I really do suffer from a heavy dose of Palladium Metallic envy...

I was considering the MBM when I bought mine. Is it really that much easier than black to keep clean? It sure looks great (and I love the umber interior).

YES! MBM really is much better than black in terms of maintenance! It is still a dark color but so much easier to take care of.... oh yes, and that umber interior is just super yummy......

Ostrich, I know you guys have gotten pounded in Cleveland from lake effect snow. I hope you guys are alright and your TL is getting around OK.

We had a terrible winter here in Kansas City last year-a foot and a 1/2 of snow just on Christmas Day!

Hi Steven,

Thanks - we did have a lot of snow!!! I must say that my TL SH-AWD handled it very well - much better than my 1G TSX did! And that was before I put on the winter tires too! So I am very pleased about that.

I hope that you will have a nicer winter in Kansas this year - happy Christmas to you!

Yea - Black is a full time job, but when it's clean it looks sooo good. But if/when I get another car, I'm going to probably get silver.

My last 6 cars have been silver or grey. I'll never own any other color again by choice. Not only do they hide the dirt, but they have a nice sleeper quality that I like and, unlike my favorite car color of black, the car doesn't turn into an instant furnace when you leave it parked in the sun

No to black!!!!
My wife loves the color white with black interior and right now my 4Runner is white but I notice that if you have to park outside you get black streak marks from the rain.
And it seems like everyone has silver cars so I was counting on black for my next truck.

No go?
