Interior molding options.

Interior molding options.
I just bought a 2012 black with black interior and I'm not sure I like the grey trim pieces. I think it would look much better in a wood finish like the current MDX. Are there any options to change this?

Not from Acura. If you find it in the aftermarket world, please be sure to report back.

I wonder if there's a "wood" film that can be applied to those parts... like the way people tint their head lights, for example.

"Wood" film is kind of cheesy. Don't do it.

Wood film? It's already bad enough that the faux wood trims are used, but to go to film? If you go that route, I suggest you buy it in person instead of online, to ensure you get what you really like after seeing it in person.
I personally have no desire for wood trims. Gives me that feeling like the rich duck in Duck Tales. =)

You guys are right. The wood film would look cheesy. To me, though, it seems that the stock shade of gray Acura uses clashes with my black interior, which btw it more like charcoal than black. Maybe it'll take some time to get used to. Other than that, the car is amazing so far.

There is a company that did my mom G37s wood, She didnt like the wood options from infinity so what they did was pull the normal stuff out (her personal choice) and cover it in a clear smooth film then layed a paint based coat on the film that looks exactly like real wood. they had all sorts of diff options matte, gloss, dark ect. I cant find their business card right this moment but i will post when i find out. I do know that they want the entire car, you cant ship stuff in and out. they are based out of fort worth TX

Nothing looks cheaper than fake wood IMHO. You could have someone do a custom interior but it would run in the $2k's.
