Infiniti G37 vs Acura TL
So my wifes car kicked the bucket today and after considering some SUVs I'm considering some sedans as well. SO i wanted some of your thoughts on the Infiniti G37 and the Acura TL. Thanks!

I agree, trust me had I had a choice between my RL and a G37 I'd lean towards th3 G37. Very sporty, fun to drive and will retain value alot better.
I say go for the G37. I'm in the boat right now where my fiancee has convinced me to sell the RL and get a Charger SRT8. So I'm fighting that battle now lol.

I narrowed it down to these two when I bought my TL in '10. Liked the feel of the G's motor and lithe feel, but not much else compared as well t to the TL. I liked the TL's interior much better, the TL's slight amount extra room and the features on the TL. What really turned me was the SH-AWD system. Great in all weather and really enthusiastic in the dry twisties. If you're most interested in performance, the AWD TL and S version G are almost identical in performance and road course lap times, for what that's worth.
Add in traditional Acura reliability and value and it was a done deal for me. But both are really good cars. I don't think you'd go wrong with either one. Get what suits your tastes best.

Thanks for the responses. Yeah Im going to test drive both and see how they differ in feel. I like Acura's interior more as well but both are attractive to me.

The truth is they're both great cars, if you're into power you'll probably have a hard time choosing the TL over the G37, but if you look at the entire package you may very well end up driving home in the TL.
I've had my 2012 TL FWD for almost 4 years now and when I don't drive it for a few days I actually miss it. I'm having a tough time making any sort of case to get rid of it, especially after driving a TLX for a day. I'll probably hang onto it for at least another 2 years before I consider trading it in.
Keep us posted on what route you go and why.

Really? Maybe the one you test drove was a lemon. Ive test drove several and haven't noted that issue at all.

I have a 2011 G37S Sedan. Previous car was a 08 TL.
My G was purchased with 26k miles and now its at 35k miles. It's been a good car. Handles and drives better than my 3rd Gen and no doubt quicker even when my TL was fully bolted and hondata tuned.
If you want a sporty performance sedan that handles awesome and gives you a good driving experience go with the G37.
The 4th gen TL is like a fat boat with AWD to help compensate.

Heads UP ......I've had this center console creaking from day 1... my wife has an '08 G35x with the same interior as my '09 .. and hers does not
I can reproduce the creaking just by pushing laterally on the center console..
yes, annoying, cheapens the ride.
