Did anyone happen to see in the last week or so, the new Insurance Institute for Highway Safety ratings? The new TL was included in their ratings.

Here is a link to one of them. However when it first came out I think I originally saw it on a MSN link. This is the Motortrend link. I think they we about the same.

Now my question: It states in this article that the Acura TL built after September 2011 falls in this list. Page down the list and you will see the Acura TL listed under Midsize luxury/near luxury cars. I checked the door jam on mine tonight and it says in was built 9/2011. So what gives, do the ones built before 9/2011 not qualify for the safety rating? I'm thinking mine is before and not after.
So what changed after September 2011 to present as opposed to say one built in August?

i think it s for the roof strength, may be acura modify somethinf in the roof to meet the new standard for roof for rollover from IIHS.
