I love this Car!
Well, I have been windows shopping this forum since last year when 09 TL was first available. Wife finally gave me a choice, either buy the car or stop the obsession. She voted against the G, as the back seats were too cramped for the kids, against the M35 as the center console felt like a file cabinet.
Today, an older friend in her 60s came by and said "I love this car". I mean she knew the car just from the front. I was surprised as I had always assumed her to be the Cadillac type of buyer, you don't like the CTS I asked. "No absolutely not, this is such a beautiful car, I have always wanted one" she said.
A few annoyances for the first week, the parchment interior gets dirty real easy, it already has shoe prints from my kids, black marks in a lot of places especially on the back of the 2 front seats, seems like the kids like to rest the feet on the back of the front seats. Also cannot get it to read the MP3s on my fat32 formated USB 2.5" drive enclosure. Tech Support at the Client Service phone number says it only works with USB Memory sticks, pointed to user manual page 356 "USB HDD not supported".
Otherwise, for the near future I will just have to be the center of attention at traffic light stops around town!

Hehe.
Get used to it. The car is a real head turner, whether you love it or hate it. Strong, angular, aggresive lines that can't be mistaken for anything else (the new Mazda 6 has a passing resemblance to our car, especially from the rear).
Happy driving.
Did you get the FWD or AWD car?

Congrats on your purchase!
If I had kids, I would definitely have to have the back seat cover.
As for the USB hard drive, yeah I tried it anyway as well, then conceded a 32GB memory stick held enough for me.

I know exactly how you feel.....This car is beautiful when you see it in person. The lines and creases don't do justice when you put it on a 2 dimension view point. I have had more compliments on this car than any other cars and I used to own a 3rd generation TL for 2 years before it was totaled. I come from an 2006 A6 and I never got that many compliments as I do with the TL. I do have to admit though, the A6 definately feels more luxurious inside from the switches to the leather. I do like the purpulish blue text better than the red in the A6 though.
