Finally, I can come on here and give some good news...at least it's good for me:-) After MUCH consideration and a indecision, I finally became part of the Acura family once again. Earlier today, I made a deal to purchase an '09 SH-AWD TL w/Tech!! I've really been very excited at the thought of owning one. This car is on the high side with mileage, at 57k. It's Palladium Metallic w/Ebony interior. Paint and body look good. Even though the CarFax is clean, I still didn't seem to see any painted panels. There are a few scratches, as expected with a car with that mileage. I am going to pick the car up tomorrow morning, so I should have pics up here later tomorrow. It's a CPO. So, being I'm at work and still rather frazzled by the experience, can someone please explain to me what coverage I have with that? I do know, I have a 12 month bumper to bumper...which is helpful.

Hey everyone, thank you so much! Tomorrow can't come soon enough. I just pray that nothing unexpected comes up with the dealer once I get there. Anyway, I wound up getting this car from Curry Acura in Scarsdale. I saw the car on AutoTrader where they had it listed at first, if I recall, about $28600 back in October. I ignored it for a while until I saw them reduce it to $28000. That caught my attention and started my curiosity. So, long story short, after about a week of going back and forth with the salesman, I got the car for $26600, $28925 out the door. I don't know how that stacks up in regard to getting a good deal. But, NO other dealer was willing to move much (if at all) off their asking price. So, I went to the dealer who did.

I purchased my first Acura from curry Acura 6 years ago. The experience was incredible. I even drive 40 miles just to get my car serviced there.

Again, thank you very much! Picked her up this morning around 11am, and just got home. had a blast driving it today, and that was being cautious until I feel a little more comfortable. It's a BIG step up from the '02 Rav4 I just came from. I took some pics on my iPhone. Is there anyway to get them up here?? The first thing I want to do is something simple...tint the windows. I'll pick up a K & N air filter this week. As for anything else, I haven't done much research so I'll have to read deeper into the forums!!

 

Oh, and real quickly...

For some reason, I cannot get the Navigation to "speak". I put in a destination, started my route, but never had any voice commands spoken. There weren't many options within setup, so I don't know where else to look for it.

 

Groov deal man. I bet you had a big grin on your face on your home in the TL. Try photobucket to post the photos. Simply copy the image code from the uploaded image and paste it into the message boxo on az. you should be able to increase the volume of the voice in general. I had to adjust it when the dealer gave me a zdx loaner.

 

sounds like a fun drive home! when i drove my tl home, i know i had a huge smile-

plastered on my face. i just did 35% tint on mine and its a very good first mod!

it isnt too expensive, and will really change the look of the tl. i also just installed a k&n air filter.

i paid $63.00 +tax. i wasnt that interested in many mods, and then i saw all the

sweet mods that others have done....now i have the mod bug congrats!

 

isnt $2325 a little high for taxes and reg? I take it you didnt trade anything in...

We've never met then I see tons of black and graphite, and sometimes white but never seen this color except in dealer.
They don't have this color in 2012 model so it's even rarer!

 

Thanks everyone! Absolutely love driving it. I never thought I would say this, but I now look forward to going to work. I did figure out the navigation voice problem. It was something called VOLUME!!!!! Just looked right over it, my bad. I do have a bunch of questions, but I will search the form tomorrow before I ask, just in case. But, I will ask just one now. What is the best way to clean the carbon buildup on my exhaust tips??

Purchased last Saturday. Palladium Metallic/Ebony, 5AT. Absolutely love this car! Now I can see what all the commotion was about! Very happy I chose the TL instead of the IS250. I posted this in another section, so hope this isn't a problem.

Dude, this is why I merged your first 2 threads together-did you not read that? Last time-you get only one thread to carry on a single theme. This is the 3rd thread you've started to introduce your new TL.

 

The first time I can understand. I put this last thread in a section where people post their pics. Not everyone checks every section. In fact, just remove that last thread altogether. No reason to have duplicate pictures in the same thread.

 

Good that you didn't purchase the IS250.... especially used. I had one and ended up selling it and getting the TL because of numerous issues...
