There was a TL behind me, heading into town, last week. Felt like I was being chased by Pikachu!
Honda has lately really gone off the rails with their car designs. While I scratch my head wondering what happened, I do think that scaled down this would make a great hand-held can opener.
The TL, like the TSX, used to be fit, athletic vehicles.
Now they are bloated and ugly, with a capitol UGH.
That’s all I have to say on that.
That “snow plow” shape across the front is begging for shark teeth to be painted upon it.
Out uglies the ugly-ass Camry. And that’s a feat.
What has Acura done to my poor TL? Why, dear God, why?
Just an absolutely shockingly ugly vehicle. Not quite Pontiac Aztec ugly, but way closer than I ever dreamed (nightmared?) a company like Acura would ever produce. It may drive like a dream and have enough techo-doo-dads to keep you cuddled up with the owner’s manual for weeks of happy reading, but paying good money for ugly makes no sense to me at all.

I love the new TL and understand everyone is entitled to their own thoughts. I think the new TL displays the personality of the people currently driving it. Loud, fashionable and have some money. Good Job Acura. Keep it up..

TTAC is, as best as I can figure, a bunch of guys who think they're oh-so-hilarious and insightful.... who are just pathetically whiny bitches. I hope that soon they will find another topic to write absolutely witless comments about.
I got the windows tinted today, and my CBP is completely awesome looking. Modern, crisp, bold, and muscular. The chrome accents against the black are just.... stunning.
Pics viewed online, which is the only way most TTAC forum members view cars, truly do not tell the story of this car's presence in the real world. Try to park next to anything that doesn't instantly look dated and dowdy.
Standout looks, exclusivity, and the standard driving excellence that TLs provide.... I love mine. Especially around 4700 RPM, when the engine starts to talk...

Jealous? LOL. Far from. Look at the sticky above, and see the majority of people who think the new design of the 09 TL is out right ugly! Acura did a good job with the 2 previous generation TL's, but personaly, i think they dropped the ball big time with this new Mad Max esque type styling. I'm a former TL owner myself. I now drive an 07 G35x sedan and couldnt be happier. To be quite honest, i feel that the new TSX looks 10x better than the new TL. Even my fiance who is big on cars mentioned how ugly the new TL was the other day after seeing it on the road. Her response: "what the hell is that thing" I told her it was the new TL, and she replied "Not cool" LOL.

i don't like magazine articles, especially motortrend & caranddriver. they have always loved and praised BMW, no matter how good the other car is. i personally believe they are biased, they always find something wrong with a good car. if it has good power, the styling sucks...etc...and honestly i think most owners would agree that the exterior styling has grown on them.

The new TL, I have to admit, is growing on me. Used to think it was ugly seeing it in pictures and magazines. Getting service done at the dealer saw it in person and liked it a lot, now i find myself turning my head everytime i see one on the streets.
To the op: The owners here did their reasearch, test drives and comparisons before buying. They could have bought a lot of other cars yet they still picked the TL. You coming here and saying all this shit is not gonna make them feel bad or regret their decision. Whats ur point?
