Here is a new one

After returning from a trip Sunday, I wiped down the interior with a damp microfiber cloth as I always do and the next morning when I got in the car to go to work I saw this. Looks and feels like peeling paint or vinyl. Stopped by Acura today but the service manager was not available so I was told to bring it in tomorrow so he can determine how to handle it. Anyone ever see this before?

yeah, I guess Acura will "Handle" it. It looks like it is two separate pieces of plastic that can be replaced. I hope it is not the whole door panel. Take a look if you can and see if it looks like that to you guys. All I can think of is that I was stuck in traffic for like 3 hours and I had sunscreen on my legs and I was resting my left knee on it. Maybe something in the sunscreen wore it off.

Usually the handle is a separate part of the door panel. They should just be able to replace the door handle alone. At least that is what I have noticed from the door panels I've taken apart.

It's a separate part. Very easy to remove/install.

service manager said they will take care of it. they are ordering a new door panel. not sure why but maybe it is just the lower half. either way Island Acura stepped up so I am happy. Should have it installed early next week.
