Help me decide

I need to get a car this year. Torn between a cpo 2010 BMW or a new 2013 Acura TL. To add to this confusion, I saw the new Honda accord 2013 and it looks good and much cheaper than the 2 options. What will you guys advice I do.

What kind of BMW are you looking at, as well as mileage? What model of TL as well; and how does price fit into your equation?

I would say it depends on what type of drive/vehicle and features you are looking for

Option 1
Certified 2010 528i with 30000 miles with all the std features like premium, leather etc around $31000
Option 2
Acura TL 2013 fwd with tech package around $36000
Option 3
Honda accord 2013 ex-L around $ 26000

Which one will you pick

I would pick a 2013 Honda Accord EX-L V6 for about $29k - $31k, depending on if you get navigation or not.

I wouldn't buy a CPO BMW, although if you do get the smallest/simplest engine you can get, the x28... Getting a biturbo x35 and good luck to you... Personally have several friends and family learning the realities of life with a BMW beyond the warranty period.. It really isn't a pretty thing...

The new accord looks great from the sides/back, i don't like the grill much, but it seems like an awesome package. You'll never regret the accord. You very likely will not regret the TL although the redesign in '14 may bum you out... Comparatively you will have a much higher percentage chance of regretting the CPO BMW purchase.

For the best value buy, it is the 2013 Accord without a doubt.

A lot of money is wasted on the BMW badge alone, unless one desires that brand effect.

I'd get the accord. If you're determined to get a TL and 2013 tech/awd is out of your budget I'd get a 2012 with tech/awd.

Don't forget that a '10 BMW "5" is the previous generation as well. The Accord is the most logical choice, but as car nuts we don't always go with logic.

Having seen the new Accord, sitting in it and playing with the toys, and considering that the new TL is around the corner, I would go with the Accord. It's a very nice car up close and personal and the tech is darn nice.

I don't like the body style on the Accord. I just bought a brand new Acura TL FWD for a little under $33K as I got $4900 off the MSRP. There are no differences between the 2012 $ 2013 so you might want to look at the 2012 Acura TL model to get the same model for less. I am in love with my Basque Red Pearl TL. The BMWs have reliability problems and cost $$$$ for repairs. Just my 2 cents.

I was looking as well at both the 2013 accord and the 2012 tl sh awd. All it took was a
test drive on a rainy day and my mind was made up. There is no comparison. Picking up my TL in 4 days.

Agree. There is no comparison with an AWD car and a FWD car, when the roads get slippery.

You can get a good deal on the '12 TL if they have it on the lot and its the same car as the '13. However, Might not be a bad idea to see what there going to do with the TLX next year? I'd imagine cooler technology in that. Otherwise I'd agree that the accord will give you some good bang for your buck and all the cool features.
