Hello, I'm new to AcuraZine and to Acuras

Hello, I registered just minutes ago. I just purchased a 2009 Acura TL SH-AWD w/Tech Package (Palladium Metallic) this past Saturday. I probably won't pick the car up until this Friday or Saturday (had surgery yesterday to extract a stubborn kidney stone). I found this site through a Google search. I knew that there had to be an Acura TL site because I belonged to several Nissan 350Z sites (the car that I traded-in for the TL), and an Audi site before that (I traded-in an A4 for the Z). I have only driven the TL once, and I was (obviously) highly impressed. I'm really looking forward to getting to know it. I have been browsing various threads and posts and have learned a good deal already. The TL community seems to be well organized and informed, and I would appreciate if you would accept me as a "newbie" member.

Absolutely, welcome aboard!

And, may I say, you have recently acquired an excellent taste in automobiles.

From a former resident but native Pennsylvanian (Philly) to another, welcome! I also own a 3g but like to see what's going on with the 4g owners. We all love Acura's regardless of the year! As said earlier, this is a great site for info on all things Acura. Enjoy the site and your new TL.

D- Welcome to the forums and congrats on the TL. We are in the process of organizing the 4G TL section as it is so new so bear with us. In the meantime, feel free to dig in and start browsing the site.

Welcome, I hope you got Ebony interior since PM over Ebony is the only real nice looky 4G and I had to get mine 250 miles from where I am. You'll love the car, not sure how nice the side bolstering will be to your sore kidney, but you'll love the car! Welcome aboard!

Welcome =) Get ready for the longest two days of your life lol, that wait is NO FUN at all. Every time I buy a new car I wind up having to wait for something or other. I have a hard time sleeping because I get so excited, and I constantly picture myself behind the wheel, driving my new car lol. Take an ambien the next two nights lol.

Thanks, I spent quite a bit of time reading posts. I'm going to learn a lot here. I just found out that I pick-up the car Friday at 1:00 P.M. (assuming that I'm completely mobile by then...) I printed out a copy of what to look for when one takes delivery! Thanks again...

PS. Keith, I did get Ebony but I didn't get the HPT...

Welcome DLee

Over the years, I've owned several different makes and have been active on various boards on the net. Hopefully you'll find Acurazine as organized and useful as I did. I'm now on my 3rd Acura and will not look back.

Feel free to cruise around and share your experiences...for the most part, we're a pretty competent group of Acura enthusiasts who can appreciate fine automobiles of all makes and models.

Enjoy and good luck with your recovery...

Welcome DLee! You may want to say goodbye to your family and friends for your first three days after picking the car up! You WILL spend that time in your garage oohing and aahing at the volume of gadgetry and getting to know the car better. I have had mine for a couple of months and I still haven't tried everything.
Again, congrats on the new ride.

That's actually very reassuring to read. I checked out Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, the new Nissan Maxima, and Audi. The TL came to the top of the list pretty quickly but I am one who constantly second-guesses myself...

Why don't you see if they'll let you out early since you're getting another Acura? With the economy the way it is, they might just do it just to move the car.
